ColorWare to offer servies to PSPs by April 14 - Image 1In order to breathe new life to your three-year old PlayStation Portable - or you'd rather want to view Sony's handheld in a whole new hue - ColorWare will soon launch their services to PSP owners. If they can turn Sony's PlayStation 3s into colorful works of art, then they can certainly do the same for the portable version. And just maybe, they could even add in their X2 coating to the PSP's widescreen LCD surface. More at the full story.

ColorWare Zune - Image 1That Halo-ized Zune seemed to be such a hit. Either a lot of you folks actually like the Zune, or were into Halo enough to actually be curious about the Zune. In any case, here's more info on Microsoft's Zune for you folks.

The people of Colorware - a self proclaimed "industry leader in altering the color of existing products" - are now processing new colors for the Zune, and will recolor your current player for only US$ 74. If you don't have a Zune but want one customized, they'll send you a new "re-colored" out one for US$ 325.

Since some retailers sell the Zune for only US$ 200, so to get the most out of your budget we suggest you folks just buy a new Zune and send one to them. 274 < 325.

Now if only they came up with a Gears of War themed Zune...

Anyhow, find out more on Colorware's custom colored Zunes via our "read" link below.

There are some who are content with the appearance of their stock PlayStation 3s, Xbox 360s and Wiis, but those who aren't have two options: mod it yourself or send it into one of the many companies which mod the systems. If you don't have time for the first option, Colorware offers just the service you need.

The company offers a lot of options for those who really want their systems spruced  up. You can send in your consoles, and for US$ 99 they will color your system according to your specifications. If you don't have a console yet, you can purchase one from them, pre-colored and in the manufacturer's original packaging. Their services are not limited to coloring your systems, as they also color up to four controllers to match your system.

According to their site, purchasing a colored console would set you back a few extra hundred dollars or so, as compared to buying the plain, old versions:
  • PS3: US$ 725
  • Xbox 360: US$ 525
  • Wii: US$ 325 (currently out of stock, go figure!)
So, if you're planning on having your system colored, then maybe you should check out their website via our Read link. If you think you need to see more, check out some of the screenshots we have of the systems they've done. One thing you have to remember though, if you plan on either ordering a console or shipping yours in for coloring, it takes eight to ten working days to get it back- an eternity for someone like me who hasn't been away from a console for more that 24 hours.

Sure, the MacBook and MacBook Pro looks professional and almost classic. Yet sometimes, you just want more color in your life and the Apple laptops' white or black just doesn't cut it. The French painter Pierre Bonard once said, "Color does not add a pleasant quality to design - it reinforces it" - so this must mean putting color in an already fashionable laptop won't be such a bad idea, right? If you answered yes, then you might want to take a look at Colorware's offering.

Colorware is offering the MacBook and MacBook Pro, with a deluge of colors to choose from. Offering a range of 24 colors (one less for the Mac Book Pros), Colorware's MacBooks and MacBook Pros are powered by Intel Core Duo Processor and has the iSight camera built-in. Other softwares included in Colorware's offerings are iLife '06, iWork '06, Front Row, Photo Booth, Comic Life, and OmniOutliner.

Of course, all these come with a price - a high price, I have to say. While the white 13" 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo MacBook sells for only $1,099, Colorware's version will make you $1,749 poorer. Colorware's 15" 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo MacBook Pro sells at $2,649 (vs. the white one for $1,999). If you do have the money to burn and would like to own a different-colored Apple laptop, visit the Colorware site to see other offerings and to decide which color strikes your fancy.
