And Michael Pachter's at it once more. What's he got to say this time
around? This is the last console generation. Oh, I thought there was
gonna be another one, especially after the debut of CryEngine 3 and it
being next-gen ready. But am no analyst, so I could be wrong. |

Analysts have a tendency to be wrong on occasion, but sometimes they're dead right. I hope this one's the right kind. Analyst Colin Sebastian expects Nintendo to release a new Zelda game by next year. You'd better be right Sebastian, or else your New Year's resolution should be not to get people's hopes up. |

Remember those news bits about the Wii and DS being used as educational
tools in classrooms around the world? What about those educational
games like Brain Training and
the like? Those sound like great ways to make the non-gaming masses
more open to video games, right? Well, Microsoft's Neil Thompson thinks
otherwise. |

Have you guys noticed that platforms seem to have a new strategy of grabbing exclusive downloadable content for games? Well, the strategy worked for the Xbox 360 when they bagged exclusive DLC for Grand Theft Auto IV. One analyst says that this is just the beginning. Eventually, exclusive DLC might become the latest battlefield among the consoles. |

Somebody's been left out of the loop and will not be getting the DLC share for Bethesda's Fallout 3 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC). And while analysts are quick to give their opinion as to why Sony's PS3 was not counted when the DLC goodies were being given out, Bethesda itself is keeping mum. |

Although Grand Theft Auto IV is a phenomenal success on both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, so much so that it got itself two Guinness World Records, it apparently didn't help console sales in a meaningful way. Care to know more? Head on over to the full article. |
