StrikeforceYou're probably used to it by now: every time Koei releases some screenshots for Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce, they don't hold back. This batch is no exception - it's friccin' huge, complete with gameplay shots, character renders, and even better, some stills of CGI cutscenes too! In other news (well, rumors, actually), we hear that a Strikeforce-themed PSP-3000 custom bundle may get a release in Japan!

Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce - Image 1Six new characters have been revealed to join the Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce roster. The character renders you see here are those of their Shin Musou Kakusei forms (what I'd playfully call their Dragoon forms, a la Legend of Dragoon). So, anyone wanna play the name game? See if you can guess the characters from their special forms alone.

Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce - Image 1We've got another barrage of Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce media for you today: screens and character renders! The best part about this batch is that we no longer have to deal with just the three usual suspects we've been seeing over and over again for the past couple of weeks (i.e. Zhao Yun, Sun Shang Xiang, and Xiahou Dun). Yay for more character renders!

Final Fantasy 13 - Image 1Scans from the recent issue of V-Jump magazine have surfaced, showing Final Fantasy XIII (PS3, Xbox 360), FF Versus XIII, and FF Agito XIII. Some of the Fabula Nova Crystallis screens and artwork seem to be a recycled batch from the previous media (screens, trailers, scans, etc.). In fact, V-Jump's coverage looks strangely similar to Shonen Jump's scans from last week. Nevertheless, we'll take what we can get - heh, another excuse to see the topless renders of the Versus characters.

Sengoku Basara: Battle Heroes - Image 1A fresh new batch of screens for Sengoku Basara: Battle Heroes have surfaced today. If you've played the first game on the PS2 (aka Devil Kings), you'll surely recognize some of these faces. More so, those fortunate enough to have been able to import the sequel will also be familiar with some of the newer characters that were introduced in Sengoku Basara 2.

Final Fantasy IV remake on Nintendo DS - Image 1 Final Fantasy IV remake on Nintendo DS - Image 2

Like OMG, it's Cecil and Cain and Rosa! Again! Well, not that this is entirely new or anything. Some screens and character renders in the above Final Fantasy IV scans have already been seen before. But we were thinking, hey, there's still a couple new stuff thrown in here, so might as well, right? The scans come from one of Japan's leading video game magazines, V-Jump, and these particular ones were fished out of a NeoGAF thread.

Look at the scans closely now: see that screenshot on the right page? It's one of the first - to this writer's best knowledge - of what battle will be handled in the remake. It's definitely different from how battles were in the FFIII remake (which had the battle on the touch screen). This one has the battle menu taking up the touchscreen.

A comment from shadowprophet (Unregistered) in our previous "FFIV scan" article has a very optimistic outlook on this title, and probably much of us can agree:

Of every ds game since its launch, I anticipate this one the most. final fantasy 4 was my favorite final fantasy. and still is. // no story in any final fantasy has ever toped the depth of ff4. // I will have this game.. // yes I shall..

To each his or her own, but we're just praying that Square Enix would finally announce the North America release date soon.

EA's Boogie getting down on European Wiis this August - Image 1An official press release made available recently announced EA Montreal's Boogie, a dancing, singing, and all-round disco paradise for the Wii, will be heading to the Wii-fied family homes in Europe come August 31.

Packaged with a karaoke-grade microphone peripheral for your Nintendo new-gen console, the game will also come with new versions of vintage tracks by The Jackson 5, Kool & The Gang, M.C. Hammer, The Village People, Cyndi Lauper, and Britney Spears.

Like Disney's High School Musical: Sing it!, musically inclined players will also be able to create their own music videos in combinations of song and dance. But players will be able to create their own dance styles with the motion capturing mechanics incorporated into the game, mirrored by the several characters provided to them by Boogie.

Sporting co-op modes, fully-fledged karaoke modes, head-to-head groove battles, and a slew of mini-games wrap up the feature list for this ultimate dance-party package for friends and family. It has been rated 3+ by PEGI Europe, although no MSRP has been revealed as yet.

"We have assembled a great selection of music for the game that will appeal to players of all ages, making this dancing and karaoke game the ultimate party package for the entire family," commented Alain Tascan of EA Montreal. He said that Boogie should deliver something new to the non-gamers that the Wii has brought in for the market.
