After being defeated in the format wars last year, it looks like
Microsoft is finally adopting Blu-ray. In an interview published today
by tech site Gizmodo, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer confirmed that
Blu-ray will eventually come to Xbox 360 as an add-on drive. |

The biggest thing(s) for Microsoft this week would be Bizarre
Creations' disclosure of their strained relationship in the past (can
you say awkward), as well as the resurrected motion-sensing controller
rumor that seems like it's actually gonna be here to stay. Juicy week,
huh? And that's just the tip of it all. |

A few days ago, we reported on a rumor of a motion-sensing add-on for the Xbox 360,
which came complete with a features list and a picture. Today, we've
got an update on that, albeit also as a rumor form, this time saying
that it may even have been already demoed at the Consumer Electronics
Show last year. |

Finally, your own IMAX at home! Stereoscopic 3D tech is now confirmed to head for the PS3 and Mac platforms, care of Next3D. They're going to release their 3D movie player software for free, right about the same time they launch their 3D movie service. Some of you have seen it in action as a preview back in CES and GDC, but now it's set in stone. Just as long as your TV is 3D-ready and you got those Shutter glasses, you guys will be able to watch 1080p HD 3D movies on your PS3s and Macs, and eventually, the Xbox 360 too. |

They may not have Sony's fancy shmancy 3-D digital cinema projector that they showcased during CES, but Nintendo still beat them to the first-ever (to my knowledge) game that will feature stereoscopic 3D graphics. Disney has announced Toy Story Mania!, a new shooting game that will be packaged with 3D glasses. |

Sony got the crowd ooohing and aaahing at their stereoscopic 3D display back at CES last month. They also got a lot of booing when it was leaked that they won't release the technology to the public, mainly because you'll need the proper hardware to make it run.And it's Panasonic to the rescue. The company is opening its own 3D Blu-ray labs, which aims to make a 3D Full HD available to the general public. Details after the link. |

Its not over five thouzaaaaaand!News broke earlier about how Harmonix wanted to release more than 5,000 songs as DLC for Rock Band by the end of the year. Epic? Yes. Possible? Nuh-uh. Harmonix was contacted to set things straight and guess what? It was a misunderstanding. |
