This month of November, Phantasy Star Portable 2 will be out as a playable demo for Japan. Lucky demo players (also formerly known as beta testing) will be randomly drawn, so get those fingers crossed, you just might be one of them (granting, of course, that you're in Japan).

Now we've seen our share of fake PS3 news before and this one looks too good to be true. According to a post from Belzar.com, they are now on the verge of releasing the worlds first full-fledged direct boot modchip for the PS3 that is packed full of useful features including multi-region DVD and blu-ray movie playback.

Gladiator, who is beta testing Raisen's work, has shared with us at the forums this homebrew application from Raisen, Pr0jectStyle PSP v1.0. As the title suggests, it work at making your PSP look more stylish. Details after the jump.

This is definitely great news for all you Starcraft 2 aficionados out there! Word has it that the beta for the much-anticipated sequel to the world-renowned PC game will be coming this summer. The best part about this news? It's not a rumor as it came straight from Blizzard president, Mike Morhaime, himself.

Heads up, point-and-clickers! There's a new version of ScummVM DS out. This is still a beta release, so this is mostly a call for people to test it out and report any bugs and whatnot. There is one new feature in this build, though. Hit the full article for more details.

Wiibrew dev Crediar has released an update for Preloader, a homebrew app that replaces your Wii's System Menu with a simple loader lets you automatically load the Homebrew Channel, .dol or .elf file you installed via SD, or the System Menu itself.

Developer Wololo has released the latest build to Wagic, The Homebrew ?!, the homebrew equivalent (duh) of Magic: The Gathering. Extensive beta testing has rewarded the game with new features, including better AI, and a Deck Editor that's easier to navigate. Details after the link.

Wake up people! Ironclad Games has finally announced the start of the Beta testing for the major 1.1 patch coming to Sins of a Solar Empire. If you've been keen on the news, you'd know that the Beta was previously announced some time ago, though the session's ETA has been elusive.
