It may look funny or weird, but it seems that the Ballbot will be the father of all robots. Yep, you read that one right. This robot that's doing a balancing act could actually be the future design for robots efficient enough to handle various tasks.

Of course, various robots have been developed way before the Ballbot. However, this particular robot's design makes it practical for daily use. You see, most robots today are rather...clumsy. Yeah, they could do complicated stuff, but moving like drunkards doesn't help at all, even if they're executing a rather hard task. Those that aren't clumsy are too big, as their wide bases compensate for the stability.

So, some bright researchers at Carnegie Mellon thought one day that maybe they could develop a more stable robot than the ones we have now. Thus, the Ballbot was born, and the rest is, well, history.

To make things clearer for you, we have here a video of the Ballbot. For more updates on the latest technology, just stay tuned at QJ.
