silmarilion has released GameMusicGear MX Release Candidate 2.0 and it's got more bugfixes and optimizations. But some of the tweaks would be the added support for 48 khz songs and a visualizer selector in full screen mode. Do check out what's in the full list after the jump.

The final version for NoNameNo's Soundchip Music Disk for the Wii, ExistenzE, is now here. Included within is the source directory. We won't be keeping you much longer from the details so you can head on over to the full article for them now.

A new update for Modo, the ultra simple mod player application, is now out with a bunch of useful bug fixes, as well as new functions to make using Modo a tad more simpler than usual. Homebrew developer wbb also added support for Atari ST, adding it to the lengthy list of supported files.

Here's the complete changelog for the October 14, 2007 modo update (the changelog on Modo's last update can be found here):

• Fixed bug in sid playback, some PSID were refused to play (Thx to Shazz).
• Press Start button in menu to toggle shuffle on/off.
• Menu browsing is now faster, hold up or down to go faster over time.
• In playback mode if you hold L or R it will also go faster over time.
• Added Atari ST support:
• YM files via Leonard's ST-Sound library.
• SC68 and SNDH files via Ben's sc68 library.

Here's something for the music fans out there, courtesy of QJ.Net Forum resident silmarilion. The PSP homebrew developer set up a thread earlier to announce the release of GameMusicGear_0.1.0. This homebrew application is actually a music player, and is capable of supporting several file types, including MIDI:

silmarilion further explained that this app was originally intended to be a video game-only music player, but with the addition of support for MP3 and MIDI formats, it expanded into a highly versatile music player. Updates the author expects to add in future versions include support for more formats and - more interestingly - support for zip/rar bundles.

Yahoo! - which has been accused by Mac users as being totally PC-centric with its Ajax-enabled home page, viewable only by Internet Explorer 6.0 and Firefox 1.5 but not Safari - has updated its YM for Mac OS to Yahoo! Messenger for Mac 3.0 Beta 1. The YM for Mac has a "new look and feel for OS X" and features, Avatars, sounds, and display images. Coming with stealth settings, conferencing, and "New IM" indicator in the OS X dock, 3.0 beta 1 also promises to bring IM with friends that use Windows Live (MSN) Messenger. Max OS X 10.3.9 or later is needed to run the latest YM update. We guess Yahoo! finally realized its better to build bridges than burn them!

Meetro has been out for more than a year (it was launched in June 1, 2005). Meetro is an instant messaging service that works as a standalone client and also integrates with other IM services. With Meetro, you need to only run one messenger to chat with your friends from your AIM, ICQ, MSN Messenger, and YM friends list. It automatically determines where you are located and also shows you other Meetro users near you - a fun way to know if any of your friends are within your vicinity.

Now, Mac users can see what Windows users have been enjoying for the past months. Create personalized groups and custom profile pages and photos with this location-based service.
