PSP homebrew - Image 1PSP homebrew developer Pspflashsystem has released a new plugin called TimeBatteryPercent on the QJ.NET PSP Development forums. This plugin displays the percentage of available battery on the PSP XMB. It also adds a year value to the date.

PSP - Image 1Sony's giving out a big firmware double-whammy to celebrate the PS3's third birthday. With Firmware 3.10 coming out for the PS3 today, Sony's following it up with the release of FW 6.20 for the PSP tomorrow in Japan.

*UPDATE* The firmware is now live in all regions. Full changelog after the break.

PS3 XMB - Image 1Now that the PS3 has turned three years old, Sony has something big to celebrate with. Heads up, Sony has now confirmed that FW 3.10 will be going live today, after being announced only two days ago. Now that's fast. By tomorrow, your Facebook news feed will be jam-packed with download news and Trophy-whoring.

Facebook on PS3 - Image 1PS3 users have had access to Facebook and other social networking sites like Twitter for a while now thanks to the console's web browser. It looks like Sony wants to take it a step further though by integrating a Facebook icon directly into the XMB.

PSP - Image 1Homebrew coder Valentin has released a modified version of Homebrew Sorter, a handy plugin originally coded by Sakya for the PSP that automatically sorts all your favorite homebrews accordingly and displays them in the XMB. The new release has added a GUI written in OSLib MOD v1.1.0, a new graphics library, ability to change the order of categories and more.

PSP - Image 1Homebrew coder MrX256 has dropped by our forum to release a new version of IP address and subnet calculator / converter. This handy homebrew application can convert Internet Protocol version 4 addresses and subnets to binary form, and then back. The latest update now uses Intrafont instead of the default LUA font.

For rent - Image 1Those who've gotten a PSP Go and have spent some time tinkering around the XMB may have come across a few folders pointing to expiring games. Since when were games cooked in tomato sauce? Apparently, we may be looking at a yet-to-be-announced feature for the new PSP, which could be pointing to the possibility of digital game rental.
