A month ago, we showed you an Island gameplay video from the third installment in the Call of Duty series. Here's another one, running 1:04 minutes. Featuring all the action that you can expect in Call of Duty 3, the latest gameplay vid will show players how Treyarch was able to incorporate the realistic rendition of events that happened during Battle of Normandy in Saint-Lo Normandy, France - the harrowing offensive that liberated Paris and changed the fate of the world. Even the sounds of the explosions almost sound too real. If you want to immerse yourself in the events during World War 2, then Call of Duty 3 is definitely a must-have.Call of Duty 3 will be available for PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii later this year so better keep your eyes peeled. The long running Medal of Honor series would be rejuvenated come 2007 as the newest installment in the franchise is set to be unleashed. Electronic Arts' Medal of Honor: Airborne for the Xbox 360 and the PS3 promises to bring the same gritty gaming experience that its predecessors successfully brought to the table. With a World War 2 storyline, the game is definitely bound to be one gripping title. The game is still far from hitting store shelves as its release date was pushed from Christmas 2006 to first quarter of 2007. So to appease those who are eagerly waiting for its arrival, EA recently released a desktop image pack featuring shots and original artwork from the E3 Medal of Honor Airborne Trailer, for your own viewing pleasure. Here's hoping that this would somehow compensate for the still far-away release date. Download: [Medal of Honor: Airborne - Wallpaper Pack] |

Insomniac Games' Resistance: Fall of Man, is the kind of game that toyed around with the "what-if" concept of World War 2 not taking place. Set in 1951 Great Britain, the atrocious World War 2 was non-existent, but for some reason, the world was being overrun by a species of dubious origin named the Chimera, who have annihilated most of the world's population and were former humans themselves. The plot revolves around the last ditch effort of the US and Britain to fight the Chimera across a war-ravaged British landscape. |

What once cost moolah is now free? Xboxic is reporting that the Collateral Damage Map Pack for The Outfit is now available for free. Originally, it cost 500 Microsoft Points for this 52.80 MB download from the Xbox Live Marketplace. So why is it free now? Well, could it be related to the latest update of The Outfit? The three maps included in this Map Pack - The Bleak Mile, Eagle's Nest and The Luftwaffe Finale - have been available for download since May. The important thing to think about here is that Xbox Live content that once cost money is now free. Will this be a trend in the near future? It took awhile, but we've seen this happen before with Halo 2 map packs; however, it was announced from the get go that the Halo 2 map packs would become free at a later date. Will more content become cheaper or free in the future? Could less popular or overly expensive downloads go this route? We can all hope so. |
