We are pretty sure that PlayStation 3 owners are quite jealous of the Connect360 application that allows Xbox 360 owners to stream their Mac media into their console. Well, we are happy to inform you that you need not to feel like that anymore as Nullriver Software has heard your requests and has answered your prayers. Know more about this program after the jump! If your Sony PlayStation Portable's a fashion statement, then it'll probably also be the prime target for imitation. That's the impression we're given when we happened upon the PMP K35 from Chinese technological company, Shenzhen Yijingling Technology Co., Ltd. The PMP K35 may imitate the PSP in appearance and form, but it certainly plays a different tune in function. And we say tune, because aside from playing games contained in Flash storage, the PMP K35 can play and record audio and features a varied set of abilities. The PMP K35 from Shenzhen Yijingling doesn't use universal media disc (UMD) technology, so it has to rely on Flash sticks containing pre-formatted games to become a portable game handheld. Of course, this does give rise to a more open platform for homebrew, but in essence, the PMP K35 already has a rich feature set of applications that give it the power to:

Some of you may remember Motorola's old PEBL model that was the mark of the company's mobile devices during the time. While it isn't exactly called the PEBL 2, don't let the MOTO U9's similar appearance deceive you - it sports a whole lot more in terms of video playback and other features. The biggest focus the U9 has to offer is the support for syncing with Windows Media Player 11. So if you have any WMA, MP3, AAC, AAC+, and AAC+ enhanced files lying around, you can rest assured that the U9 can play them for you. Other notable features include the CrystalTalk technology which reduces background noise and increases call clarity, a microSD expansion, and a 2 megapixel camera. Also, the whole "floating" effect the external display has just makes your wallpapers look more realistic than ever. People can expect the MOTO U9 to hit shelves in the fourth quarter of this year in Asia, Latin America, and Europe. While no North American release plans have been revealed so far, importers can still avail of the phone's quadband GSM/EDGE technology to quell any compatibility issues. Rob Shaddock, senior vice president of Feature and Mass Market Phones, Mobile Devices, Motorola, explained the new model's best qualities, saying: MOTO U9 combines the surprising with the familiar, the latest in premium design and inventive controls with the next popular spin on Motorola's classic clamshell design to deliver the most stylish and dynamic mobile music experience. MOTO U9 embodies the stylish side of Motorola’s music-enabled devices, further building on our strong portfolio of products for a diverse global audience. |

Homebrew developer UFox dropped by QJ.NET PSP Development Forum and released a new version of nifty program PSP Content Manager bringing it up to version 1.8. For the uninitiated, take note that this is actually a PC-based application that lets users preview and manage the content of their handheld units.
PSP Content Manager is capable of accessing content that are stored on your PSP's memory stick, as well as those found in the PC hard drive with a same folder structure used on the memory stick. Some of the program's features include file management, item sort, homebrew edit/installation, MP4 title modifying, MP3/WMA/ATRAC tag edit, as well as build-in RSS server. Here are the following changes and improvements that can be noticed in PSP Content Manager v1.8:

This just reminded me about mood rings. The new Toshiba U103 Gigabeat digital audio player comes in 24 different colors to suit your mood, including pink if you're feeling a little "tickled pink" when you buy one. That's more than three times a rainbow's basic colors and four times more than the six different colors the PSP Slim will be available in (in Japan). It's also what you get when you half the number 48 or double 12.
In terms of capabilities and features, there isn't much difference with the U102 except for the availability of 24 colors. Supported formats are the staples MP3, WAV and WMA. It's also an FM tuner and comes with 1GB of storage. The screen measures 1.1 x 1.1 inches. It's now out in Japan for JP¥14,000 (US$ 116). |

With all those MP3 players in different shapes, sizes, and colors available right now in the market, it's impossible for you to NOT find a portable music player you like. If you're incredibly fickle though, and you can't find the stuffed toy worm music player that you've always dreamed of, well, guess what? There's none. Don't despair! There's a good music player solution for those who would want to create their own portable player. Dubbed the "Music Box", the EverGreen DN-MP3DIY-256 portable music player comes in a small size (28x25x18mm), just perfect for you to slip it inside a doll to let it play MP3, OGG, or WMA files. With imagination the only limit, this Music Box is a dream come true for those who want to get a better, cuter, custom MP3 player. |
