Here is one smart car from Lexus. The Lexus LS 460 is sleek, rich, expensive, and best of all, it parks by itself!

Yup, you read it right. This car is smart because it can do the parking for you! Gone are the days when you have to twist your back and neck just to get that right view of the parking slot you're trying to get into. With four rear and six front sonar sensors, the computer of the car is able to detect the surrounding cars and the gap between them.  The sonar system is constantly measuring distance, beeping with more urgency as you get closer to obstacles.

And that's not all! It also has adaptive cruise control, which uses the millimeter-wave radar to slow you if a car in front of you hits the brakes. If the system detects a collision, pressure will automatically be added to the brakes to give you that much needed stall-time. And if collision is inevitable, the system picks that up as well, and the seatbelts electronically tighten. Now, if that isn't superior safety technology, then we don't know what is.

Add to that impressive feature, the LS 460 has the world's first 8-speed transmission, and is coupled with 4.6 liter, 380-horsepower V8 engine. With this, the car zooms up to 60mph in 5.4 seconds. Using the fifth generation of Toyota's system for its navigation system centered around a 9-inch, 800x600 screen, the system uses XM to receive live traffic data, with icons for traffic jams, accidents, closed roads, construction, bad weather conditions, etc. It also has an integrated Bluetooth for pairing with a cellphone, for speakerphone and address book access. The entire system can actually be controlled by voice commands.
