A Jack-o' Workstation

Just in time for Hallow's Eve! Sadly, we don't know who the guy or the group is that's responsible for this seasonal mod casing. The instructions and pics of the finished product are over at the University of Arkansas net address, but none of this information hold any means of ID'ing the guy or group. The closest we can get is that they could be affliated with [H]ard OCP, since the [H] logo is prominently carved into the pumpkin shell (and there's a link to the site).

Still, we can show you the finished product. If you're just dying to trick-and-treat out your computer just in time for the zombies and ghouls to waltz in, the instructions are over at this mod's site. We can tell you what you'll be needing, however, and no, it's not candy.
  • A pumpkin - make sure it's large enough to hold all your components after it's all carved up
  • Your motherboard - this project used a Dell Latitude D410 laptop board with 1.6GHz Pentium M
  • Intel 2200 802.11g - because it ain't haunting if you see the cables, right?
  • 60GB HDD
  • 512MB DDR2
  • DVD R/RW drive
This is hardly the only pumpkin PC project done, though - even the guys behind this are aware of it. They also point us to the Pumputer 1.0, a 1990 Mac hacked into a pumpkin by Breana Skiles and Adam Bellas. So how do you like 'em Apples Pumpkins?
