The last we've heard of Final Fantasy Versus XIII was at the TGS 09 about a month ago. While Square Enix has been hit with criticisms as to the in-development footage of the game, Tetsuya Nomura has now come out to clear out the air by divulging some more information on the matter.

Despite announcing an FF-clad lineup after packing its bags for TGS 09, Square Enix didn't include Final Fantasy Versus XIII on that list. Famitsu was covering the action in Tokyo when Tetsuya Nomura showed the world what he has been busy with. Japanese gaming mag, Famitsu, comes up big again in their latest issue, where they managed to get hold of more info on the characters that we'll be meeting next year in Final Fantasy XIII (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), as well as a few other gameplay elements. In an interview with Ultimania back in May, Tetsuya Nomura let out a lot of info about the Kingdom Hearts series, spanning from Kingdom Hearts II, to Birth by Sleep, Coded, and 358/2 Days, and the relevant plotlines that each of these games have with each other. Get ready for some magical time as Square Enix has announced today that the much awaited game, Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days will be hitting the stores in Europe this Autumn.

Apart from the Metal Gear feature I posted about earlier, Famitsu also scored an interview with Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura. The Final Fantasy Versus XIII director shared a few bits of info about the new Final Fantasy games currently in development.

Back in January, Square Enix's very own Tetsuya Nomura revealed that plans for a sequel to Dissidia: Final Fantasy were actually already in place, but eventually fell through the cracks. However, to spark a bit of hope, he also mentioned that if fans demanded it enough, Dissidia II might really happen in the future. Back then, I suggested we do a petition for it, now though, it looks like Square Enix will be listening to fans in terms of actual software sales.
