PSP - Image 1Homebrew coder Zer01ne has released a useful plugin that is compatible with CFW 5.03 GEN-A and the recently released GEN-B. Sedna is a simple PRX plugin that allows you to stay in the custom firmware even if you accidentally shutdown or restarted your PSP without using ChickHEN.

Tiff exploit - Image 1Jackpot! Once exploit fever hits, it washes over everyone completely and utterly. Following the ChickHEN 5.03 exploit from the other day, PSP homebrew developer wololo of Wagic: The Gathering fame someone has now found a Libtiff Exploit for FW 5.50!

ChickHEN update - Image 1Let's try this again, shall we? Team Typhoon has released R2 of their ChickHEN Homebrew Enabler. If you'll recall, the release we got yesterday only booted to a HEN environment but didn't really let you run homebrew. This one does.

HEN - Image 1Hear that? That's the sound of homebrew aficionados booting up their PSP-3000s and getting ready to finally run some homebrew on the thing. Why? Davee's finally released his HEN, that's why.

PSP hackBe patient, everyone. Davee's HEN exploit will eventually arrive given time. To tide over that wait, here's a little video demonstrating the 5.03 HEN in action. This one was posted by Granite, one of the beta testers of Davee (Team Typhoon).

FW updateAlright. So the latest official firmware for the PSP was released the other day, and most probably, some of you are waiting for Dark AleX to give us some feedback before we update our PSP units.

So, Bob, what's the damage? Is PSP FW 5.50 hackable?

QuickJump QuickGuide: Who's Who - Image 1From this issue of the QuickJump QuickGuide, we will be rolling out our thanks to the folks responsible for this new wave of brew development that all started with the release of the GripShift Exploit. We have several characters going into play for now, but as the devs deserve to each get their own time under the spotlight, we'll be focusing on them one by one. For this week's QJQG: Who's Who edition, we center our sights on the one-half of the GripShift Exploit team, MaTiAz.

Sony PSP - Image 1Inasmuch as the saying that "When a door closes, a window of opportunity  opens" is true, I guess the reverse of that holds just as much water as well. When a window opens, a door closes. Or something like that. While everyone is celebrating the highly successful TIFF exploit and HEN, Team Noobz is feeling a little downcast (although they too are celebrating!). Posting over at the Noobz site just now, Fanjita explains why they have mixed feelings about it. Check it out after the jump.
