Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has thrown down the gauntlet. In the newest GTTV episode, he predicted that New Super Mario Bros. Wii will outsell Modern Warfare 2 on a single platform. Oh, and he says there's no Wii HD.

The Dolphin Team has recently released a new update of the Unofficial SVN build of Dolphin, a Gamecube and Nintendo Wii emulator for Windows. The latest SVN build offers lot's of new features, bug fixes and various improvements.

Shigeru Miyamoto himself has said it - they'll be moving along with the progress of technology and he wants to see games with better graphics. Couple that with the rumor that a graphically-superior Nintendo DS is on its way, then perhaps Nintendo has been busying itself with preparing new hardware. For now, they're working on existing hardware, turning white controllers black, and enlisting balance boards in the fight against terrorism.

We all know how much of a classic that plumber all garbed in red already is in videogaming history. But despite the many iterations under the Super Mario franchise's belt, Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo still remains firm that the best is just yet to come. The New Super Mario Bros. Wii will be the Mario that will sell for "many years".

They might not be doing so hot right now, but that doesn't mean we should forget the success they've had for the most part of the year. After months of anticipation, homebrew coder dan369 has finally released the first version of PSP Mario - The New Worlds. The homebrew game based on the classic Super Mario Bros. is now out of beta and is a total recode from the previews version. More info after the break.

Homebrew coder ZodTTD has released a new update for snes4iphone, a port of the Super Nintendo emulator for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The latest update is a feature pack release with a lot of improvements and some other bug fixes. More info after the link.

It's been a head-on collision between Sony and Microsoft the past week with their own respective price cut announcements. Oddly enough, Nintendo remains sitting prettily and quietly. Have they got no plans to launch their defenses in light of the current happenings? Apparently, no, they don't.
