Considering the push Sony leveraged behind inFamous, it's no surprise if they want to make it into another big PlayStation franchise. Sucker Punch hasn't announced any new adventures for Cole McGrath yet, but it seems like the gears are already turning on inFamous 2.

It looks like inFamous dev studio Sucker Punch is already gearing up for their next project. Job listings on the studio's official website indicate that they're now hiring for a "forthcoming AAA title." We have no idea yet for which console the game will be, but Sucker Punch has worked exclusively with Sony for almost a decade now, so the PS3 is a good bet.

When I say there are slim pickings this week, I mean it. The home consoles only get two releases, and there are no new games at all for the Wii and PSP. There's also only one release on PC, but since it's The Sims 3, it's sure to sell a bucketload by its lonesome. The only console not experiencing a game drought this week in the Nintendo DS. There really are no slow release weeks for the DS in terms of quantity, really. Read on for a list of this week's game releases.

Sucker Punch's inFamous seems to have no other recourse but to prove that it is indeed famous. Especially when Sony itself professes such high hopes for this latest addition to the growing collection of must-have PS3 titles.

In an interview with Belgian gaming site 9lives, Sucker Punch co-founder Bruce Oberg admitted that they ran into a few difficulties while trying to release inFamous on schedule. While they've certainly cleared these obstacles, they never did get past two "mountains": multiplayer and DLC.

With the PS3-exclusive from Sucker Punch Productions, inFamous, hitting shelves this week, Amazon UK has a little something for those who want the game plus a new PS3. Available for pre-order now is an 80 GB PlayStation 3 bundled and the soon-to-be released inFamous, with which buyers can give their new PS3 a go with. Details after the jump.

While most everyone's got to wait a couple more days to get their hands on PS3-exclusive inFamous (and that lovely, lovely Uncharted 2 beta code, hopefully), it looks like gamers in Middle East can't resist temptation once again. Just like what happened with Killzone 2 and Resident Evil 5, inFamous now joins the ranks of "because you're so in-demand, we shall break street date for you" games in Dubai.

Rocking down to electric avenue, inFamous is just around the corner now. Naturally, Sucker Punch is feeling more than generous to dish out another batch of info for the game.
