PS3 FW 2.40 coming with trophies, in-game XMB, and music - Image 1Last we heard from PSN director Eric Lempel, FW 2.40 will include in-game access of the XMB and trophies. While that was official, everything else after seems to be uncharted rumor territory, including this latest one: a full list of features outlining functions of the XMB you can actually access in-game. Aside from the Trophy system, we might also get to play our own music in-game (no, not via Solid Snake's iPod, but via in-game XMB!). There's also some bit about FW 2.4's release. As reports go, the current release window is three weeks from now. That's E3 week!

ZiPhone clues in new jailbreak software for iPhone 2.0 - Image 1Whispers went round since Steve Jobs unveiled the 3G iPhone that Apple had a new version of the iPhone firmware cooking in the kitchen. These whispers soon escalated to rumors that the alleged iPhone v2.0 firmware was to release before the 3G revision of Apple's revered touch phone was ready for retail. We expect that the homebrew community was looking forward to promising leads that might hint an unlockable option for the 3G iPhone, so perhaps this news bit would brighten their day: a future ZiPhone jailbreak release could do just that.
