It was a week full of bittersweetness -- for those who have PSP Gos at least. Team Typhoon, the fellas behind ChickHEN, blew a lot of minds by showing proof of homebrew running on the PSP Go. The bad news is they have no plans of releasing their HEN. There's still hope, though. Homebrew dev Freeplay is still hard at work on developing an eLoader for the download-only handheld.

With the help of some dedicated Wagic fans, homebrew coder wololo has released a Star Wars Mod of Wagic, the ever-popular customizable fantasy card game for the PSP based on Magic the Gathering. The unofficial mod will contain 4 sets of cards and will feature new graphics and new sounds. Also included in this release is a new version of Wagic. More after the jump.

We've got a bunch of mystery games for you this Halloween week, as well as another one from the blood-curdling line of Ubisoft's Imagine titles, this time with Imagine Babyz Fashion. Headlining the line-up though would be Jak & Dexter for the PSP, the multi-platformer Lego Rock Band, and the new Need for Speed offering for handhelds, NFS: Nitro. It's been almost a year since Bioware and LucasArts announced Star Wars: The Old Republic, and now they're finally ready to start letting gamers try out the new MMO. Both companies have announced that beta signups are now a go starting today.

We've seen the release schedule for Wii and its accompanying WiiWare service, so now let's turn the spotlight on Nintendo's market-dominating handheld. Again, this is a pretty long one since these aren't just first-party games and includes third-party releases as well. Also included is a DSiWare release list. Let's get right to it.

Lots of things happened this week on the QJ.NET PSP blog. A new firmware update came out, we saw some intriguing new Sony tech that'll supposedly be made available to game devs, and we also got a little reassurance from Sony that they ain't forgetting about no UMDs, no sirree. Now here's your first look at Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron, the upcoming sequel of the highly successful PSP exclusive title Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron. Patrick Alvarado from LucasArts gives us a little walktrough of the game. He revealed new details about the games new character X2, the connected battlefront, the epic gameplay, the 16 player multiplayer mode and more.

Less than 24 hours after its announcement, Sony's PS3 Slim skyrocketed its way to the top Amazon's Most Wanted list. Soon thereafter, it became the number 1 for the Bestsellers list. It stayed there rather comfortably until yesterday, when the Xbox 360 version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed stole the spot. But only for a day.
