A lot of games are coming out this week. A veritable rainbow of releases, if you will. If we scale it, the red part (ROY G BIV, remember?) would include big titles like Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for PSP, Borderlands, WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 and FIFA Soccer 10. Space Invaders Infinity Gene has officially been unleashed by Taito on the iPhone and it simply did not fail to impress. The expanded version of the Japanese mobile version offers gameplay features such as evolutionary power-ups and unlockable additional menu items and options.

Taito isn't done invading the Wii and the DS. As recently promised by Square Enix, they really are bringing more Taito Classics to the said platforms. Check out the list at the full article for the corresponding titles you may very well expect in the coming future.

There's more in store for you European gamers as Square Enix promises to send out more Taito classics your way, especially after the highly impressive outcome of the Space Invaders Extreme for the DS. Reports have it that you can expect the classics rollin' out your way this summer of 2009.

Things are definitely looking up for Xbox Live Arcade as Square Enix and SNK Blast announce that they'll each be throwing their own stuff into Microsoft's online service. The two publishers have set dates and margins for their Xbox Live releases, so we'll be seeing more life at Live in the coming months. If you loved the classic shoot-em-ups like Space Invaders and Galaga, then you'll love Teeter Torture. It's basically a Galaga clone, but it comes with one hilarious, and not to mention challenging, twist that'll test your gaming skills. Your cannon rolls on top of a board, which is balanced between two TNT plungers. If the board tilts too much to either side, BOOM. There's a video in the full article to give you an idea.

Despite having a comical and motivational theme to it, the TV spot for Change 4 Life was met with ire by the gaming industry for linking gaming with obesity, calling it "another example of naive stereotyping and scapegoating." So you think you can play a song upside-down, inside-out just because your band made it? Wrong. Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic found this out the hard way when he couldn't quite get it right on Harmonix's and MTV Games' Rock Band 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii), playing their song "In Bloom".

Wiibrew developers michniewski and Tantric have released a new version of Snes9x GX, the SNES emulator for the Wii. This version has several optimizations you won't want to miss.
