GripShift by Sidhe Interactive for the PS3 and PSP - Image 1Xbox 360 gamers looking for more rubber to burn may want to take heed: word is out that the currently PlayStation-brand exclusive GripShift (for the PS3 and PSP) may be coming to the Xbox 360 Live Arcade. GripShift by Sidhe Interactive has been rated E10+ by ESRB for the Xbox 360, compared to the mild E rating for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable incarnations of the game.

Those who aren't familiar with this title should be, right now. GripShift is a stunt driving game filled with outrageous tracks that put most rollercoasters to shame, and high-flying rides that make most racers cringe in envy. Sidhe Interactive's GripShift started out on the PSP, and was then made available for download on the PlayStation Network sometime last year.

Aside from ESRB's Xbox 360 rating for GripShift, there's pretty much nothing else revealed about it for now. Do check this space often for more details to come!

Speed Racer speeding its way to Wii and DS May 2008 - Image 1We don't know if you've already heard about this, but Matrix-creators Wachowski Brothers are currently developing a movie adaptation of the 1960s Japanese animated series Speed Racer.

We just got word that video game players will also get some 60s love as Warner Bros. Interactive is also planning to release Wii, DS, and PS2 titles based on the film. The Wii and PlayStation 2 build of Speed Racer is being developed by Sidhe Interactive.

The Wii and DS versions, furthermore, will be released in early 2008 to coincide with the film's release. According to Warner Bros., players will be able to take on the role of their favorite characters from the movie as well as get the chance to ride on their signature vehicles.

The Wachowski brothers said before that most of the original characters from the animated series will be retained (even mysterious arch rival Racer X) so players can expect that this game will be packed with a lot of adrenaline and "car-fu" action. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment Development and Production Senior VP Samantha Ryan added:

Speed Racer is an exceptionally creative property and teamed with the Wachowski brothers' vision, it makes for action-packed racing gameplay. The game will capture the intensity of the racing in the film to give gamers and movie fans a chance to take the wheel after the experience the film.

Warner Bros. gave word that more details will be released as we get closer to the release date.

Instead of listing down the qualities Jackass: The Game lacks (such as good taste, har-har), we should focus on the many things Jackass does have in spades. Below is a short list of wonderful things Sidhe Interactive's Jackass game possesses in spades:
  1. People getting hit in the head by plastic bats.
  2. Golf balls to the crotch.
  3. A guy in his briefs, dancing in a store.
  4. Someone getting rolled down a hill in a trash can.
  5. Shopping cart racing.
  6. A half-naked unicyclist.
  7. Painful rag-doll physics.
The funny thing is, you'll get to see all of that in under a minute with the trailer below. Guess what would happen if you spent 30 minutes playing the game. Exactly: more insane action than you can possibly handle. Enjoy the video folks!
