Diner Dash screenshot - Image 1Without taking console games into account, how big exactly is the casual gaming market? It is at least safe to say the business is in good shape, and we can thank female gamers who enjoy casual offerings for that. At the SXSW Interactive Festival 2008, casual game developer big wigs sat down to discuss about what's hot and what's not as far the female audience is concerned. Find out what they had to say at the full article.

On-the-fly character switching action and sick team attack dynamics coming your way in these two new gameplay videos of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer for the PS3, PC and Xbox 360. It's not often we see how an almost random mishmash of super powers actually work well, so these are definitely worth a look.

The first video, Co-op, shows how you can easily switch between Reed, Sue, Ben and Johnny (that's Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, Thing and the Human Torch) at any time to solve puzzles or take advantage of their abilities in order to progress through the game. This also holds true in battles, as we see the player constantly switching between the four characters to lay the most painful smackdown possible on those unfortunate enough to be in the way. Clobberin' time, baby!

The second video, Team Up, shows some of the stunning "team-up" moves you can perform with multiple members of the Fantastic Four. For example, Reed can use his powers of mind-boggling elasticity to lift the Thing into the air, and then snap him back down into terra firma with a whip-like smashing action, causing a shockwave that can devastate an entire mob of enemies. It should be noted that while the attack is useful for crowd control it could prove to be useless against bosses as they tend not to stick in one place - causing the team-up maneuver to miss entirely.

It's the ultimate ride that very few can, and are willing to take: A paid trip to the International Space Station amounting somewhere between US$ 20-25 million. Telecom mogul Anousheh Ansari spent a week in the ISS in September of 2006, becoming the first female space tourist. She shares her out-of-this-world experience on three videos. Check them out:

As you can see, even the most mundane tasks are challenging in zero gravity. Eating, brushing your teeth and moving about takes months of training along with other conditioning routines.

Did that video revive the astronaut in you? Click on the jump and watch. There's plenty more where that came from.

We've all seen enough of those Wiimotes and people hacking into PC's to do all those weird things. But this is just plain scary. Some guy actually used the Sony PlayStation 3's SIXAXIS controller to manipulate a robot. We're not sure if he made that one himself as well, but it really kicks butt.

Okay.... It's a little kinky. Scratch that, it really doesn't seem to do much except what looks like heavy petting with a spider-robot, but hey, we all know there are guys out there smart enough to do crazier stuff. The next thing you know, people could mount cameras on it and start treating us all to peep shows.

By the way, we can't wait for crazier stuff that people can come up with for the Xbox 360 controller. Talk about an interesting sub-battle in the console war.

Thanks to Jim for the news tip!

As we all know, Scarface: The World is Yours is way up there near the top of the violent video games list. We've got a trailer that's going to - well, show you guys just how much violence there is in the movie based game.

Tony Montana is certainly not somebody you mess with. And you certainly don't want to say 'Hello' to his little friend. The Scarface: The World is Yours Violence trailer starts at Tony's mansion where Sosa's men are attempting to kill Tony. In the movie, Tony dies in the hands of Sosa's assassins - though in the game, Tony survives and sets out for revenge.

Scarface: The World is Yours from Radical Entertainment is certainly not kid friendly as Tony wields various weapons from a chainsaw and the rocket launcher, and he knows how to use them. (*insert flying dismembered body parts and swear words here*) The game's Wii version is set to hit the video games' shelves on summer of this year. For the meantime, check out the video. Remember kids, don't try this at home - or anywhere for that matter.

Here's something you don't see everyday: Some guy was able to rig a car and his Nokia mobile phone to have his old ride remote-controlled via Bluetooth. Critics may say that it doesn't do any good in real life because of the limited range of most Bluetooth devices, but we say it's still brilliant.

The car is automatic and that allowed the guys who pulled this off to use only three main controls to guide the car- steering, brakes and acceleration. The video shows the app working as close to perfection as it can and we're totally amazed. This better not be some late April Fools' prank....

Need we say "kids, don't try this at home?" McGuyver himself would blush when he sees what these guys did.

A controversial video related to the 2008 US democratic party nominations is making rounds on the internet. Although the ad has been connected to Sen. Barack Obama, his campaign says that they have nothing to do with the ad. The said ad depicts a young blonde female athlete running with a sledgehammer towards a widescreen, where Sen. Hillary Clinton talks to a mass of zombielike followers.

This political ad was based on an ad released by Apple in 1984. TV Guide ran a 1999 story on this Apple ad, naming it number one on the "50 Greatest Commercials of All Time" list. Apple spent a then-outlandish sum of US$ 400,000 to produce the ad and US$ 500,000 to air it. It aired only once at the Super Bowl XVIII but it turned the then little-known brand Apple into a household name and started the whole Super Bowl ad craze.

Here's the Obama ad, while the 1984 Apple Ad can be found at Full Article for your comparison.
