Sega's introduced some more new characters for Valkyria Chronicles 2, via their official website for the game. Not only that, they've also debuted two new videos that will give you a closer view at what lies in what for you in the game.

Homebrew coder FluBBa has released a new version of S8DS, a port of the SEGA 8-bit emulator SMSAdvance for the NIntendo DS. The latest update has added some new features and some other bug fixes.

Action game fans now have another thing to look forward to for the New Year. Sega has penciled in an early January release for Bayonetta (PS3, Xbox 360) in the US and Europe.

For this offering of our weekly recap, we see a resurgence of all sorts in the gaming industry. Finally we see a PS3 kicking ass in the sales charts, finally we see another big homebrew breakthrough for the PSP, and finally, it looks like things are definitely looking up for the videogame world in general. DS homebrew developer FluBBa is back with the latest update for his emulator, the S8DS v0.3. To those who have yet to hear of this project, it's basically a port of SMSAdvance to the NDS, and is a Sega emulator for the said handheld.

Sega continues come up with more content for Phantasy Star Portable 2, this time with a boost of girl power from anime series like Neon Genesis Evangelion and Fate/Stay Night - all with a side of...err..Pizza Hut.

We've been hearing reports of Bayonetta's PS3version being somewhat less than impressive compared to its Xbox 360 counterpart for the past few weeks now. Was Sega's porting job really shoddy? Sega's given the official Valkyria Chronicles 2 website an update, and included in the new additions is the second volume of the PSP game's TGS 09 trailer. Check it out after the jump.

Mention Shenmue III to any Shenmue fan and you'll probably get one of two reactions: a breakdown followed by uncontrollable sobbing or a vicious and expletive -filled rant against Sega. While that series doesn't seem to be getting any closure anytime soon, series protagonist Ryo Hazuki is making a comeback of sorts. In Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, no less.
