Satoru Iwata said earlier this month that they're planning to add game
demos into WiiWare, and just about two weeks later, the first ones are
now available. They sure went about that pretty fast. When more demos come in, you can avoid
risking your gaming money on shovelware and iffy titles. |

Digital downloads seem to be the way of the future, looking at the
current landscape of the gaming industry now. Even analysts say that
retail will be overtaken by digital distribution
in a mere three years' time. Nintendo's big boss, Satoru Iwata, begs to
differ, however. To him, digital distribution will sure be a hit -- but
not till 20 years later. |

After four years of staying on top, it's the first time for the Wii to
experience a sales decline. Satoru Iwata owns up to the issue, but
remains optimistic about Nintendo bouncing back into the game. Much of
that is apparent as early as now - Nintendo is steadily adding more
games into WiiWare and Virtual Console, grabbing more big Wiixclusives,
unleashing the Black Wii, and even introduces a new king-sized DSi.by Glenn M. |

The Wii may be miles ahead of the competition in the total sales race, but for the first time in four years, Nintendo saw a drop in profits from the cash-hauling console. Acknowledging the situation, Satoru Iwata owns up to the decline, looking forward to turning things around. |

IndustryGamers recently caught up with Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto in NYC, where the gaming exec shared his thoughts on high definition gaming. While he said nothing that would point us to a Wii HD, we now have more reason to believe that Nintendo isn't gonna sit on its motion-control laurels and leave the graphics as they are. Miyamoto himself has confirmed - "Nintendo's games move along in step with the progression of technology." |

Word from Satoru Iwata - the Wii Vitality Sensor is gonna come "not too late" in 2010. In case you're not really keeping your eye out for the new peripheral, the Nintendo chief himself talked about how the Wii Vitality Sensor could benefit its users and improve daily life. |

Japan is without a doubt the Monster Hunter capital of the world, so
what happens when you release the next big Monster Hunter title there
on a new console? That console sells, of course. That's what happened
with the Nintendo Wii, which saw sales quadruple following the release
of Monster Hunter 3. Find out how each console fared in the latest Japanese hardware sales charts after the jump. |
