Homebrew coder Jeff Lait has recently released a new version of Powder, a roguelike homebrew game originally developed for the GBA that involves different game element like tactical play, hack and slash, dungeon crawlers and the likes. The latest update is mostly a bug fix release.

Atlus has scored quite a coup for the more hardcore Wii fans, securing the North American publishing rights for Shiren the Wanderer, a critically-acclaimed roguelike RPG from Chunsoft. The Atlus PR only mentioned it as such, but this game is actually a localized version of Fushigi no Dungeon - Furai no Shiren 3: Karakuri Yashiki no Nemuri Hime. Yeah, well, good call. DS homebrew dev Immir has released a new version of his DS port of the roguelike game Angband. If you've ever tried out Nick McConnel's DS Faangband, this is also worth checking out.

Good news for the retro-inclined: an enterprising dev by the name of Junx1337 has released a PSP Slim port of the old-school roguelike game, Nethack, which was originally ported to the PSP by Virtuamunstaz and ivegotthepawa.

The newest release for Powder is finally out, and like the previous versions this release is packed with a lot of updates. Some of these updates include the option to using 32x32 tileset for higher Powder resolution. The complete changelog in the full article.

Jeff Lait's homebrew game Powder (previous release here) for the Sony PSP and Nintendo DS is now even more playable, with the addition of fire arrows.
