Although Poison_xtreamlua said that the previous version of the Danzeff's-OSK-alternative keyboard app was the last version of the homebrew, v4 was released to fix a bug and optimize the code. To top it off, now you can move the keyboard by pressing L.

Homebrew developer Poison_xtreamlua has released the second version of 3D to C. This homebrew which was designed to run on Linux OS is a powerful application for developers who need to convert 3D images to C files easily.

Unlike the previous version of 3D to C which could only convert .obj files, Poison_xtreamlua has added support for *.ac , *.iv , and *off files. In addition, the developer also saw fit to add a method of mass converting files making this program much more feasible for homebrew that have a lot of 3D sprites and graphics.

If you plan on using this application, be sure to go over the readme document included in the compressed file. That said, homebrew developers who code in C will probably appreciate this latest version of 3D to C.

Homebrew developer Poison_xtreamlua (creator of the Easy Homebrew Downloader app), dropped by the QJ.NET forums earlier to announce the release of  the first version of 3D to C. This application for Linux users will enable you to convert 3D objects into source files for the PSP. For example, you can convert *.obj file to *.c. Be sure to take note of these important details before you start the download:

• You have to type the path of the files thanks to the keyboard, there is no "browse" button to select a file easily.
• "3D to C" is able to convert .obj file to .c file only, on the next version, more 3D object will be "convertable".
• Be sure to have installed the SDL(SDL, SDL_image et SDL_ttf) to start the program.

Coder Poison_xtreamlua just released a new build for the useful program Easy Homebrew Downloader (EHD) over at QJ.NET PSP Development Forum. This helps users to download and install some of the current homebrew games and applications out there to date.

The release brings EHD to version 6 and one of the most important changes is that the program is now compatible with PSP Slim and Lite. The full changelog is as follows:

• You can download a file manually thanks to my keyboard, just push SELECT button and follow the "orders"
• Once a homebrew is downloaded you have the choice between extract it into the ms0:/PSP/GAME/ folder or the ms0:/PSP/GAME150/ folder.
• PSP Slim & Lite and PSP fat compatibility

Easy Homebrew Developer v6 comes with a Readme.txt documentation containing basic information as well as installation and usage guide. Browse through that first before doing anything to fully maximize the potential of this program.

Homebrew has a lot of uses - but how about homebrew that helps you download homebrew? If you're surprised, then don't be, as that's what Poison_xtreamlua's latest release, Easy Homebrew Downloader v4, does. It's coded so that it helps you download almost any kind of homebrew for the PSP out there today - and helps you install them, too. Neat!

As the downloadable archive itself has no readme file, here's a snippet of the information you should take to heart before doing anything with the homebrew:

Informations:

• Time of downloading and installing depend on your wifi connexion and the size of the homebrew downloaded.
• Hombrews are download in ../EHD/download/ folder.
• If want your homebrew appear in EHD , please contact me via Private Message on QJ or Xtreamlua.
• If you want to download a homebrew already located in the ../EHD/download folder , the download will not begin.
• If there is no update , a text appear to notice you.
• Once the download and the install are done, a text appear (during 20sec) to notice you.
• For each version available, it's possible to install it manually (via a Personal Computer), or automatically (via EHD).
• The homebrew database increase each week or month (to each version of EHD)

Convenient, right? Not only does it download the homebrew file you want automatically, but it also does the same with the homebrew's later versions, and installs it on its own. No more tedious copy-pasting and USB connection malarkey, your PSP does all the work for you!

And even though the homebrew's text is in French, Poison_xtreamlua reassures readers that Easy Homebrew Downloader is, well, easy to use despite the language barrier. PSP homebrew developer Poison_xtreamlua dropped by the QJ.NET Forums earlier to announce the release of Heavy Downloader. This release is an improved version of the File Downloader application that was released earlier.

Heavy Downloader will enable users to download multiple files from multiple urls at once. Before you get started on using heavy downloader, however, take note of these important issues (quoting Poison_xtreamlua's post):

• If the url is not correct (ex : http://gfdhgur.net/bloodbath.tg), it freeze the PSP.
• Other information :
• Url from host such rapidshare or megaupload (etc..) don't work , but please, if somebody know how to reached the real url of a rapidshare or megaupload file, please MP.
• I don't know if file from ftp can be downloaded, I haven't tested.

PSP homebrew developer Poison_xtreamlua dropped by the QJ.Net forums earlier to release the Proof-of-Concept stage of an application in development, named File downloader MSA.

This application will allow users to download files from a specific url address into a defined location on their PSP's memory stick.

The usage process is broken down into three stages:

1. Entering the correct URL: Either punch in the url address manually on the app's keyboard, or write the url in the  "url.ini" file located in the file bundle.
2. Designating the output folder on your PSP.
3. Download the file.
   

As said earlier, this is a proof-of-concept build currently under development - we advise users to be very careful when handling this homebrew. Poison_xtreamlua states that these are the commonly noted bugs for the moment:

• You have to enter a correct (valid) url, else your psp will just be freezed.
• Be caution to enter an output file , else your psp will just be freezed.
• If the psp is inactive for 5 min, she will shutdown (I'm so sorry but I didn't succeed to fix it, I just know it because of the thread...).
• If you load an url contain inside url.ini and after you decide to write the url your self it will bug the keyboard..
• There are some bugs about gfx (not very important)

Remember the homebrew keyboard app Poison_xtreamlua created and released about a week ago?

The developer dropped by the QJ.Net Forums earlier to announce that the application has been updated to version 3. This is expected to be the app's final release which reportedly carries over these tweaks:

• Version 2:
• You can use the joystick to move the keyboard
• Version 3:
• Code source remake entirely (coded in C++ , POO)
• Easier to use than the latest version.
  

As a backgrounder, Poison created this keyboard app as an alternative to Danzeff's OSK, as the latter application had issues when run under his homebrew. Guys with an inkling for tweaking this app are most welcome to, as the application is open-sourced.
