The latest trailer for Beowulf (PS3, 360, PC, PSP) is out and it doesn't look like they're sparing us from the blood and gore we saw in the movie trailer. It may even be bloodier. Beowulf is based on the new movie by Neil Gaiman and Roger Avary and is due to be out in November, in time with the movie's release.

The trailer is titled "The Forge," placing special emphasis on a particular sword. The cinematics are excellent, probably at par with the graphics in the movie trailer. In case you were wondering, the movie is in full 3D. Check out the game's trailer below.

Ubisoft holiday line-up - Image 1Have you been good for this holiday season? Well, whether you were naughty or nice, Ubisoft has the game for you. Whether you're into assassins, solving murder cases or maybe even taking good care of your pets, Ubisoft is coming to town.

One of their most highly anticipated games for the season, Assassin's Creed, will be coming in this November for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, with the PC version coming in early next year. It won't be in time for Christmas, but maybe it'll make a deadly romantic Valentine's gift.

Beowulf (360, PS3, PSP, PC), the video game based on Robert Zemecki's new movie of the same name, will also be arriving this November, just in time for the movie. Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway (PS3, 360, PC) has been delayed from its holiday release date and will instead be arriving next year. The Wii's Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 will be arriving this December though. Naruto: Rise of a Ninja for the Xbox 360 will be arriving this October.

So you'd better watch out, and you'd better not cry. You'd better not pout, and we'll tell you why. Gamers from all over get a game to play over the holidays from Ubisoft:
So while Ubisoft may not know whether you're sleeping or whether you're awake, it has a great line up for everybody (young and old, naughty and nice) this holiday season.

After an attempt to bring The Sandman to the screen, Neil Gaiman (of Stardust) and Roger Avary (of Silent Hill) set out to create an adaptation of Beowulf for the big screen. The movie inspired the game of the same name that will be released for the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360, and the PC (and just recently, also the PSP).

If the trailer is anything to judge by, the movie will be absolutely stunning (and that's not to mention Angelina Jolie wearing nothing but mud). Featuring a stellar cast in their full 3D glory, including Anthony Hopkins, John Malkovich, Crispin Glover and (of course), Angelina Jolie, the movie is set to be released in the US this November 16, with Beowulf video games released during the same period.

Ubisoft has just sent out a press wire providing for plenty of new details for their upcoming game, Beowulf. The first info snippet that gamers may want to know is that aside from its initially announced PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC release, Beowulf is now expected to land on the PSP as well. Moving on to the rest of the new game details:
  • Beowulf concept art - Image 1 Delve even deeper into the adventure and play through 30 years of the Beowulf story not seen in the movie. Experience more of Beowulf’s life and mold your own legacy.
  • Unlock an army of up to 12 thanes as you increase your heroic experience (by saving thanes, killing giant monsters, etc.).
  • Carnal Power allows you to use stronger attacks and special weapons such as pillars.
  • Giver orders, assign your army’s position, and tailor weapons to the situation or enemy.
  • Use your army to trigger mechanisms (e.g., open doors) and row Drakar.
  • Carnal upgrades include less daze after use and prolonged use of carnal fury.
  • Combos, parries, and skills increase as you progress.
  • Grab allows you to hold on to walls or climb, as well as fight in hand-to-hand combat with enemies and giant monsters.
  • Use legacy experience points to gain thanes, replace weapons, and upgrade your carnal abilities.
Beowulf the game will be based on the the movie with the same title written by Roger Avary and award-winning author Neil Gaiman. The game is expected to ship into retail this November 2007. That's all the details we've got for the moment, aside from a batch of screenshots and concept art. Happy viewing!

What we have here for you guys are the latest screenshots and a trailer video for the title Beowulf. It should be remembered that Ubisoft announced this one back in May 2007 and said that it will be coming to platforms Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. It's an adaptation of the movie with the same title written by Roger Avary and award-winning author Neil Gaiman.

Not much details are known as of now about Beowulf but judging from the screens and the video, we reckon that we are in for a bloody conflict against every monster imaginable. The visuals of the game is kind of reminiscent of God of War, which isn't a bad game to be compared with.

Beowulf will be released in November to coincide with the move release.
