Mega Drive Collection filter can be turned off, say Sega - Image 1A lot of fans of the old Sega games gave a whoop of joy when they announced the Mega Drive Ultimate Collection for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 - then they saw the screenshots. Fortunately, Sega has clarified that the smoothing filters that make the games look "splotchy" can be turned off.

SEGA MEGA DRIVETM ULTIMATE COLLECTION - Image 1Mega Man 9 must have revived the retro spirit in Sega. The studio will be resurrecting several of its classic games from the Sega Genesis on both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, including the first three Sonic the Hedgehog games on the platform.
