Yay for more Java games! M@x and sleepper have released an update to PSPKVM - the j2me emulator on the PSP. PSPKVM v0.4.2 now supports FreeType2 fonts and brings with it some fixes to the Chinese Input Method, which was enaled in the recent releases.

Not more than a week after the merging of code from both pspME and PSPKVM, homebrew coders sleepper and M@x roll out a minor upgrade to the Java KVM for the Sony PlayStation Portable. Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew developers sleepper and M@x have just recently come up with the latest version of PSPKVM, the result of their collaborative efforts to emulate the Java 2 Platform Micro Edition. Thanks to a tip from Bastion, we've just learned that the makers of pspME and PSPKVM have decided to join forces to help make a better virtual machine on the PSP. Furthermore, you can expect another release in the coming days which has better sound support.
