PS3 Weekend Warrior - Image 1Sequels, sequels, sequels. Lots of talk about those this week. While most other companies are busy making sure they get to release a big-name game with a "2" after its title, Media Molecule is preferring the opposite, opting for a sequel-less yet DLC-supported approach for LittleBigPlanet. Speaking of, it seems the PS3 price cuts are also doing wonders for software sales when it comes to sequels, or so an OTX report tells us.

LittleBigPlanet - Image 1Media Molecule has shot down the possibility of a sequel for LittleBigPlanet. In an interview with Critical Gamer, the devs shut the doors closed on an LBP 2, saying that a sequel would be "counterproductive." Instead of a part 2, Media Molecule will continue to focus on DLC and updates for the game. PS Store - Image 1To celebrate the launch of PSP Go, SCEA has decided to update the PlayStation Store a day early. PSP Go owners as well as the die hard PSP gamers will surely have plenty of reasons to celebrate this week as Sony promises to release over a hundred new PSP games including the PSP minis, that is now available for download. Sony Motion Controller - Image 1Sony has handed out a few more details about their new motion controller, more specifically the titles that will be supporting it. There are a bunch of new games being made specifically for the motion controller, but existing titles will also be patched for support via updates. Go - Image 1Well here we go again. With barely one week left before the scheduled launch of PSP Go, Kotaku Australia is reporting that the nation's largest games retailer, EB Games, is refusing to stock the PSP Go. According to the site, several stores in Sydney have confirmed that the PSP Go is not currently listed on their database and EB will not support the new PSP iteration.

Craft World aka LittleBigPlanet - Image 1Trivia time! Did you know that LittleBigPlanet (PS3, PSP) was supposed to be under the name of "Craft World"? Yep, that's right. That was the working title of the now-famed world of the Sackfolks. Thanks to some office cleaning, Media Molecule unearthed a little piece of treasure reminding them of their first tiny steps into Sony's office to pitch the game.
