Burnout Paradise certainly looks extraordinary, especially when it comes to bringing authentic-looking crashing and racing action to racing fans everywhere. We've got some new screenshots for Criterion Games and Electronic Arts' racer, courtesy of JeuxFrance, and they certainly look stunning. What do we have in these pics? Cars galore! From the racing car you see above, you'll also get a look-see at some muscle cars, some roadsters, and the car that looks like a sweet Lamborghini but actually isn't. More importantly, some of them are narrowly missing scrapes with lowly vans and pick-up trucks as they drive around Paradise City. Burnout Paradise will be out sometime this September. Watch out for it, alright? Enjoy the screenshots. |

It's official, Forza Motorsport 2 will be released in Europe on May 2007, on the same date as its North American release. The 35 cars from Ferrari Lamborghini, Maserati, and Porsche are fully customizable in the game. This means that you can pretty much pimp your ride from its engine all the way to its paint job and yes, there are full body kits. Interestingly enough, after lovingly modifying your ride, the car crashes and pile-ups are wonderfully detailed. So the long wait is coming to an end, put on your racing helmets and strap in, because Forza Motorsport 2 is coming very soon. You can click on "Full Article" to see the complete list of Porsche, Maserati, Lamborghini, and Ferrari cars available for Forza Motorsport 2. |

Non-gamers are used to collecting points, say for example web dollars or e-coupons, that they can later trade in for something. Nobody was more surprised than Microsoft entity Aaron Greenberg when their amazing brainstorm, the Gamerscore - the achievement points system that allows players to collect points and trade them in for absolutely nothing, turned out to be such a phenomenon.GameDaily has a feature on several gaming celebrities and gaming analysts' take on Gamerscores. Well skip over the opinions of most of the analysts, and we'll relay to you folks the take of someone that we feel you guys could relate a bit more to. Here's Cliffy B and his take on the obsession with the Gamerscore: It's nerd cred, man! ...It's so clever, I mean, it's just a score. You may say it can't be used for anything, but gamers use them for pride. They're pride points! You can compare it to the feeling you get when you pull up to a restaurant in a Lamborghini. People go, 'Oooo, he must be somebody.' In the virtual world of gaming, points create that same sense of rank and envy, and that's why gamers have latched onto them. I read that people are picking up the Burger King Xbox games just so they can score additional points. If that doesn't prove how well this program is working, nothing does. Yeah, it's all about pride and showing off your gamer-wang. That and the feeling that whatever it is you're doing in the game, matters - to yourself, and more importantly to a large gaming community. |

Move over, Roomba, there's a new toy in town sweeping off dirt and dust from hardwood floors. Enter the Lamborghini Gallardo RC floor sweeper. Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories has created a handy household helper using a US$ 15 radio-controlled car, an electrostatic dust mop, and a blank printed circuit board.
The Evil Mad Scientist detailed the steps on his website. What's really great about this nifty Roomba-replacement (sort of) is that it's quite easy to build. You just got to figure out how to attach the dust mop to the RC without breaking it. The Lamborghini happens to be the perfect car for this project as it has a little ledge with screw hole where a little plank can be attached to hold the dust mop. If you're planning to create one yourself, you can use other car types, a 4WD even. While a Lamborghini and a dust mop don't quite look good together, they do a good job of cleaning up the dust on the floor. Watch the Lamborghini Gallardo sweeper in action! |

If you think that law enforcement in the US is solid enough on the roads, then you should try to outrun the police on the European highways. On the famous Autobahn in Germany, certain parts of the highway are unrestricted so you can do any speed you want, but the German traffic police are not the ones you should worry about when travelling on European highways. The Italian police force have a new weapon, and it sure is one speedy car - the Lamborghini Gallardo. Donated to the force by Lamborghini, it costs $ 218,000 and has a top speed of 309 Km/h, which the Italian police claim to have never done. It has 500 NHP and can do 0 - 100 km/h in 4 seconds. "Designed for emergency situations where speed is essential," - Yeah right, just make sure you stick to the speed limit in Italy to keep this car from appearing in your rear view mirror. |

Here's another something to watch out for over at the Xbox Live Marketplace. Test Drive Unlimited downloadable content will soon be available for download, allowing you to have a peak at what lies ahead for you in the island of Oahu. Feel free to cruise through over 1600 km of road in your sweet ride. With six brand new cars to choose from, I can't imagine how that should be a problem. How sweet are the rides? Well, the Lamborghini Countach, Ferrari 250 GTO, and Noble one M400 among others, should be more than enough for you to gain multiple visits from the tooth fairy. The announcement came from Atari itself, and while no specific date has been set, the assurance is that it will be coming very soon. So just hang in tight there. Also, the price for this content is still a question, but it's pretty safe to surmise that it won't send you flying through the roofs given that the game itself is cheap. Test Drive Unlimited is the first MMOR racing game that allows you to compete with others both on and offline. Ain't life good? |
