Here's some good news for gamers in Europe. Konami Germany has apparently sent out a press release announcing the arrival of Metal Gear Solid on the European PSN this week.

Konami Digital Entertainment has announced that they're bringing another old title back in the market. The PS2 classic, Shadow of Destiny, will breathe new life on the PSP.

After a rather tame period of releases from Nintendo (Wii Music failed to rock my world), things may finally be looking up for 2009. They have a lot of games lined-up, including Pokemon Platinum and Chinatown Wars for the DS, while the Wii gets MadWorld and some retro action with GameCube upgrades.

Konami Digital's announced that it will be present at this year's upcoming Games Convention event in Leipzig, Germany. The company will be showcasing some of their higher profile titles for this year, including Silent Hill: Homecoming for the PS3 and Xbox 360, and Pro Evolution Soccer 2009.
