Rage - Image 1id Software may be splitting Rage across multiple DVDs for the Xbox 360, but studio co-founder John Carmack says that the game's Xbox 360 version will run at a higher framerate compared to the one for PS3. More after the jump.

Doom - Image 1To tilt or not to tilt? That is the question that John Carmack wants answered. In his post at the Touch Arcade forums, the id Software dev said that he is considering the removal of the tilt-to-turn option in Doom Classic, which may get in the way of better gameplay. Rage - Image 1 Last year, id Software generated some... rage for the shooter/racer hybrid Rage when the issue of the Xbox 360 version being gimped due to the lack of disk space cropped up. id has since clarified that the decision to split Rage's 360 version over two discs hasn't gimped it in any way. But why only two? They would have been able to fit in more textures if they went with three DVDs, right? Perhaps, but id co-founder John Carmack says that the nature of the game doesn't allow for it to be spread across three DVDs.

id Software on iPhone - Image 1 John Carmack seems to have fallen in love with the iPhone. Speaking to MTV Multiplayer, the id Software co-founder revealed that iPhone and iPod Touch owners can expect an id release every two to three months over the next year.

id Software - Image 1Doom and Rage (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) developer id Software has joined Bethesda Softworks under the wings of new parent company ZeniMax. A press release announcing the acquisition of the former by the latter has just been released.

Doom Resurrection - Image 1John Carmack's Doom Resurrection will be debuting on the App Store next week and so they've finally cut a trailer showing off the game's graphics. I must say, I'm impressed. Looks like Carmack and the folks at Escalation Studios really gave it their all. Check it out after the jump.
