Making its way around the Internet is an intriguing new rumor related to Guitar Hero World Tour (Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii). This rumor is made interesting by virtue of it being a potential set list for the game. Find the rumor list after the jump!

A release schedule of what seems to be the March DLC lineup for Harmonix and MTV Games' Rock Band (Xbox 360, PS3, PS2) has surfaced. We're tagging this one as a rumor for now, but the lineup - which includes songs from artists like Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Evile and Nine Inch Nails - sure does look interesting. We've got some good news for you Rock Band lovers out there. Sean Baptiste, director of Community Development over at Harmonix, has announced the latest set of downloadable tracks for rock band, and they involve some goodies from Iron Maiden, The Hives, and Stone Temple Pilots.

The entire song list for Harmonix and MTV Games' Rock Band (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) has been released and it's a pretty solid line-up. The game offers 58 songs (45 licensed tracks off the bat and an additional 13 unlockable songs) from the 1960's all the way to the present.

It looks like there something for everyone in the game. Old school rockers lovers would probably be excited to play the Rolling Stones' Gimme Shelter, The Outlaws' Green Grass & High Tides, and KISS' Detroit Rock City while the youngbloods would probably want to headbang to Metallica's Enter Sandman and the Beastie Boys' Sabotage.

Rock Band is slated to hit North American stores this November 20. You can expect to find the game to be going for about US$ 169.99 (inclusive of the guitar, mic, drum kit and game) and US$ 59.99 for just the game itself. Two days before the game's release, the soundtrack for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock has apparently been leaked (again!), but this time with gameplay videos for almost all of them. Which means, the list we previously saw is now more or less confirmed.

The soundtrack list includes all 74 songs included in the game, even the bonus tracks. Guitar Heroes III: Legends of Rock will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and the Wii on October 28. The PC and Mac versions will be released on November 12.

As we come close to Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock's (Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii) much anticipated October 29 release, it's inevitable to find rumors and speculations about Activision's hottest title. One person from Aeropause, for example, claims he got a hold of the game's entire track list including those available only through download.

Aeropause sourced a certain "JoshTheBoss" from GameSpot as the one who gave the tip. Upon nosing around, we could only find a GameSpot user going by the name. Unless an insider is hiding under the same handle, this grand song collection could be just another gamer's wishlist. It is also odd how Tom Morello is under Tier 2 when he's supposed to be the third boss.

However, rock fans won't be disappointed if this list is legit - Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Slipknot, Metallica and many others are all there to rock. Check it out yourself:

Just when you thought that the all-star cast of real life rock icons was enough to knock your rocker socks off, Activision announces the addition of more famous artists to the mix. The original announcement had Guns n' Roses, Black Sabbath, Kiss, Pearl Jam, Alice Cooper and a lot more headlining the gig, but wait 'til you get a load of what's been added.

Ever wondered how it feels like to be John Frusciante with his funky riffs tearing through along with Anthony Kiedis' voice? Wonder no more. Current greats Red Hot Chili Peppers just hopped aboard the tour bus and they're taking AFI, Iron Maiden, Queens of the Stone Age, Slayer and the Strokes along for the show.

That's right, all of these bands will have tracks of their own included in Guitar Hero III: The Legends of Rock. One might argue that this is the gaming industry's answer to Woodstock.

The collection of artists and tracks is so deep that AFL's Jade Puget had to say "if you're going to start playing Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, make sure you have, say, the next 2 years free, because that's all you're going to want to do."

Knowing the kind of success that the Guitar Hero franchise has enjoyed throughout its run, Jade isn't really overstating her case. Still not convinced? Then maybe this list of newly added tracks will change your mind:

Here's another Guitar Hero III (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii) song update for you guys. There's a new thread over at ScoreHero that chronicles how some of the members of the community were flown to Neversoft's southern California offices to try out the game.

Apparently, the lucky fellows managed to score some vital information for the Guitar Hero community as they revealed four new songs that will be making it into the game.

Here's the list of new songs for you:

• Suck My Kiss - Red Hot Chili Peppers (Master Track)
• La Grange - ZZ Top
• Number of the Beast - Iron Maiden (Master Track)
• Through the Fire and Flames - Dragonforce (Master Track)

Here's a cause for celebration: the whole of UK gets Guitar Hero II today. And another a reason to celebrate the release of the game is this: on April 7 and April 9, Activision will host several events and competitions in various outlets of retail store GAME. Music greats like Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden, and others more will be present to rock with fans.

Accordingly, these musicians will showcase their talents using the bundled X-Plorer guitar controller. In case you're not aware, these controllers are actually based on real-life guitars from Gibson. Anyway, after the demonstrations, fans will also be given the chance to try out the game for themselves, aside from the chance to be entered into a prize draw.

In Guitar Hero II, players take on the role of rockers and play at venues that eventually become bigger as their characters' careers progress. There's a total of 70 tracks available for the game and more can be downloaded over at Xbox Live. The video game also features multiplayer modes, both co-op and head-to-head.
 
All participating customers will get a free Gibson Guitar Strap. Now those whose name will be chosen will get even more exciting prizes like a Gibson Guitar, Microsoft Xbox 360 goodies, and GAME gift cards worth 100 GBP (US$ 197).

And just when you thought you already knew everything about it, new details about Guitar Hero II suddenly surface.

Okay, maybe not all that sudden, but there's new info released. In any case, the latest press release which RedOctane has given out stated that the Xbox 360 version of GH2 can be expected by this March and that it will contain more than 70 tracks, including 10 tracks that will be exclusive to the Xbox 360 version. Among these exclusive tracks which are unlockable in career mode include:

• "Billion Dollar Babies" by Alice Cooper
• "Dead!" by My Chemical Romance
• "Hush" by Deep Purple
• "Life Wasted" by Pearl Jam
• "Rock 'n' Roll Hoochie Koo" by Rick Derringer
• "Possum Kingdom" by Toadies
• "Salvation" by Rancid
• "The Trooper" by Iron Maiden.

The other two tracks are still unknown, though many are crossing their fingers for a Hendrix song. It has also been noted that "Dead!" and "Possum Kingdom" are "master tracks", or songs that are actually original recordings and not just the normal covers.

Besides these new tracks, Xbox 360 players will also be able to enjoy the usual fare of Achievement points, dashboard themes, picture packs, and downloadable songs.
