R-Type Tactics 2 - Image 1Irem has revealed a few more details regarding R-Type Tactics II: Operation Bitter Chocolate, the sequel to the tactical strategy PSP title R-Type Tactics (R-Type Command outside Japan). One of the few things they didn't reveal, however, is just what "Bitter Chocolate" means. I guess we'll find out when we play the game. If it gets an overseas release, that is.

Narisokonai Eiyuuden - Image 1In case you didn't know, Irem's actually working on another RPG for the PSP. In fact, it's probably done already given that it's already scheduled for release on July 23rd. Said RPG is Narisokonai Eiyuuden: Taiyou to Tsuki no Monogatari (Narisokonai Epic: Tale of the Sun and Moon). Quite a mouthful, eh? Details and a couple of screenshots follow after the jump.

Steambot Chronicles: Battle Tournament - The QJ.NET Review - Image 1Steambot Chronicles: Battle Tournament for the PSP is a spin-off of a PS2 game called Steambot Chronicles. Blending together a turn-of-the-century world with steampunk sensibilities, publisher Atlus and developer Irem task players with taking control of bipedal automobiles called Trotmobiles to try and reach the summit of Orion City's Trotmobile tournaments. Does it live up to the underrated title that it was spawned from or does the PSP outing run out of steam? Let's find out.

Irem Plaza - Image 1Irem is doing a Namco Bandai with their own PlayStation Home lounge, Irem Plaza. Instead of focusing on just one particular game, they're turning it into more of a general showcase area dressed up in Japanese festival garb. Catch details and screenshots of the lounge after the jump.

Disaster Report 3The second trailer for Irem's Disaster Report 3 is sporting even more gameplay footage than its first one (which had more cutscenes than actual gameplay). What's even cooler here is that we see the multiplayer mode in action. For a game that's all about stress levels running high and the city crumbling to pieces, the theme song here sure is ironic. Aww, how the power of love overcomes the forces of nature!

Disaster Report 3 - Image 1Holy flaming tornadoes, Batman! And here I was thinking that columns of fire only existed in the bible, but apparently, they can occur in nature as well. We are, after all, talking about Disaster Report 3 here, and huge flaming tornadoes should be just the least of your worries. Check out the full article to see the column of fire wreaking havoc on the city (and no, I don't necessarily mean the girl in the nurse outfit on the left).

Hammerin' Hero - Image 1Atlus is once again bringing another Japanese PSP game to the US: Ikuze! Gen-san, a PlayStation Portable title from Irem that pits a kind-hearted carpenter against a dastardly construction company.
The game has been rebranded as Hammerin' Hero, probably because "Hammertime"'s already taken. More after the jump.
