Around 400 kilometers above us, the Endeavour space shuttle has beamed a new image of its recent spacewalk mission involving the installation of the tool change out mechanisms of the Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator robotic arm (a.k.a Dextre) on the International Space Station. Reports from the International Space Station indicate that the giant robot Dextre has undergone a series of testings. Accordingly, the robot passed all tests except for the one that dealt with its left arm's wrist joint brakes. More on this after the jump!

The Earth Viewing Camera (EVC), NASA's new eye in the sky, has recently sent back its first batch of pictures. The new orbital camera was installed last February 15 on the European Columbus laboratory, which will make constant aerial sweeps of our planet while the camera takes images from its perspective.
