Imagine the kind of training and concentration that went into this feat. A 26-year-old guy from Mumbai, India has just set a new world record for the longest play session of Grand Theft Auto IV.

Don't let his robes fool you - you may have more in common with Trinley Dorje than you think. He's only 24, listens to hip-hop on his iPod, and enjoys a good round violent video games. Yes, you read that right - this Buddhist leader enjoys good old-fashioned pwnage as much as the next guy. In fact, despite his disposition, Dorje believes that this type of games can even be therapeutic.

The price cut on the PSP devkit has already opened PSP development to more interested parties, but apparently that's not Sony's only approach to bringing in more devs to the handheld. They're also abolishing concept approval and instituting lower price points for new games. More after the jump.

David Reeves, SCEE President, couldn't have been more straightforward and decisive when he said that there won't be any price cuts for the PS3. The PS3 isn't doing so well sales-wise, and this isn't going to help. They may be giving discounts in India this Christmas, but the rest of the world will see that the PS3 will not get any cheaper.

Then boom, I find out it's only for India. As it turns out, Sony's giving a special holiday treat to gamers in India, giving them a reason to start celebrating Christmas.

Sony Computer Entertainment announced that they'll be adapting several traditional Indian games into the PSP and the PlayStation 2. The games will include such staples as kabaddi, kho kho and kite-flying. All of the games will be developed in India.

India's not gonna miss out on the devs scene. Vicious Cycle Software and SCEE are bringing the Vicious Engine, the leading middleware solution, to game developers in India. Indian developers will get their hands on the comprehensive suite of development tools to boost game development in the region.

Fallout 3 Xbox 360 (also on PlayStation 3, PC)wont' be coming to India, guys. Sorry. Microsoft decided to cancel its release just mere days away from its scheduled launch due to "cultural insensitivities". Gasp! Did they just pull a Sony on us?!? Oh no, they didn't! ...
