Reports are coming in that Sony has started sending out invite codes for the Killzone 2 closed beta. If you're a PlayStation Underground member, better check your email quick. You may already have been invited.

EGM's resident rumor specialist Quartermann has set his eyes on Capcom, who has recently enjoyed success via its massive catalog of classic games. According to Quartermann in the latest issue of EGM, Capcom may be reaching into that classic gaming bag again.

Herman Hulst, managing director of Guerrilla Games, admitted that they had a lot of expectations to live up to while developing the sequel to the 2003 PS2 title, Killzone. In a video interview conducted by BBC News, Hulst talked about how Killzone 2 was currently coming along and how they planned to achieve their goals upon its release. When Sony revealed that Killzone 2 wasn't going to hit shelves this year, they weren't exactly keen on letting us know why. That's not the case today, as a reply from Sony Computer Entertainment America's (SCEA) Ron Eagle at the official PlayStation Forums clarified that the delay to February 2009 was actually a strategic decision on Sony's part. Yeah, it's a bit of a downer that Guerrilla Games' Killzone 2 was delayed to next year, but that's okay when we take into consideration what it will bring to the table by the time it hits. It may be a good thing that Guerrilla Games' Killzone 2 is not set to be released this year. An Italian gaming site has just reported their gaming experience of the game. Apparently, Killzone 2 will suffer from the usual graphic faults. Read more on this in the full article.

We're pretty sure that a number of gamers are anxiously waiting for Guerrilla Games'  Killzone 2 to come out.
