More games trickled into the App Store this week, including the much-awaited iPhone and iPod Touch iterations of two big names: Earthworm Jim and Rock Band. More is expected to follow with the announcements of Ghosts 'N Goblins and Garters & Ghouls. But while games are packing into the App Store, one game gets an unfortunate boot out of the App Store, and it might not be your typical infringement case.

With so many people hoping to play Earthworm Jim again, you'd think Gameloft would make a bigger announcement that leaving it to a single Tweet. Straight from Apple's "It's only rock and roll, but we like it" event comes this staggering statistic of the App Store housing literally thousands of games. And then comes the revelation of more games coming, price cuts, and a new iPod nano model with a camera.

Gameloft has announced it's five titles that will be available for the PSP this holiday season. The five games that will be hitting the PSN Store are Real Soccer 2010, Hero of Sparta, Asphalt 5, Let's Golf! and UNO. The game details after the break.

An unspecified source has informed Pocket Gamer that Sony may have prohibited inclusion of multiplayer modes and connectivity features in Minis games, which makes sense since Sony wants to keep the price and the file sizes down. Gameloft, however, has already announced its UNO Mini game, which has the multiplayer and connectivity features that the program supposedly does not support. So what's the real score?

Earthworm Jim is getting ready for another adventure with Princess What's-Her-Name thanks to a deal between Gameloft and Interplay that has cleared the way for the former to develop, distribute, and publish an Earthworm Jim game for PSN, Xbox Live, WiiWare, and mobile platforms.
