Rage - Image 1Yesterday we reported about some framerate issues dogging the PS3 version of id Software's upcoming multiplatform title, Rage. As id puts it, word of the framerate issue -- which had the game running at 20 to 30 FPS on the PS3 compared to a smooth 60 on Xbox 360 and PC -- caused "quite a ruckus." They have now moved to assure gamers "a great Rage experience" on all platforms.

PSP Homebrew: Apollonia - Image 1GlennNZ and the Code Tactics team has released a quick update for Apollonia, their airstrike-style homebrew game for the Sony PSP. The code optimizations done in this update have sped up and smoothened out the game, and while the framerate tends to suffer a bit when the action gets too intense it's still a definitely improvement over earlier releases.
