There's some rather intriguing shaman news for World of Warcraft today,
made more interesting by the delivery of the message itself. It seems
shaman totems will be made part of the physical school of effects, and
will be made effective at some unannounced later date. |

We've got some good news lined up for the resident iPod and iPhone owners, at least if you happen to be a big fan of Family Guy.Apple has just updated their iTunes store with season six of the said series. At the moment, the download will cost users US$ 1.99. As TUAW.com mentioned, however, there only appears to be just one episode available for now. Apple has also yet to say if the iTunes store will be handling out full seasons or a "best hits collection" - sort of like the Freakin' Sweet collection that was released as a DVD, and eventually as a PSP UMD. iTunes subscribers may to check out the read link below to see the Family Guy over at Apple's site. |

Sony's press conference at E3 is currently taking place and there's a lot of new things being revealed for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2 (PS2), and PlayStation Portable consoles. But for now, we'd like to focus on the bomb dropped by Kaz Hirai himself. At around 11:48 a.m, Kaz went up the stage and announced a new PlayStation Portable unit. The new PSP is said to be 19% slimmer and about 33% lighter. Hirai also said that it will have a longer battery life and expanded video capabilities. According to the Sony official, it will be available this coming September. Furthermore, Hirai brought out a copy of movie Spider-Man 2 then pressed a button on the PSP. The video then suddenly appeared on the giant screen behind him. He said that this is going to be part of the new display functions and the same will be implemented to everything that is inside your unit including games and photos. Quite interestingly, the redesigned PlayStation Portable unit also has the ability to access PS3 and PC hard drives from anywhere in the world because of new connectivity options. After Hirai, Jack Tretton followed next and announced "Ice Silver" PSP that will be offered in the "PSP Entertainment Pack". This will be offered in the U.S. in September as well for US$ 199 and will come bundled with 1GB memory stick, Daxter, and UMD movie The Family Guy Frickin' Sweet. The basic PlayStation Portable system pack More previews of the new white, silver and black PSPs, including their respective packages, right at Full Article! |

It's another blink-and-you-miss-it affair. Sporadic of the CheapAssGamers forum thought he saw an update to the 360's back-compatibility list from Microsoft. Heck of a lot of games added to the list, and Sporadic himself was happy to note that Shenmue II, Indigo Prophecy and Psychonauts were on the list. Then the list got pulled out, he says. "Looks like somebody at MS screwed up." (Hey, that's him talking, not us, aight?). According to Kotaku, Xbox community team manager Chris Paladino posted on Gamerscoreblogger.com, "We haven't made any announcements on this subject yet. Please hold off on freaking at this point in time. ;)" Well, the freak's out of the bag, if both Kotaku and CAG readers are commenting on their favorite games on the list (or not on the list). We'll see if this list holds true when Microsoft officially unveils the latest compatibility updates.

With a bang, Karmik Studios is starting out their venture with an exclusive interview with Community Manager April Burba (AKA CuppaJo). In this issue, "AFK" actually lists Tabula Rasa as one of their top upcoming MMO picks and as a recommended community hot spot.
Aside from the TR interview with CuppaJo, the magazine will also cover:

Here be the Wii. The family guy. The wee wii that could. The little guy with the fancy nunchucks. The console that's roughly the size of three dvd cases put on top of each other. Like tinny little hobbits, have faith that you'll see this nice little thing number in the millions. Fun for everyone. Oh and check out the Xbox 360. The concave enamel box that has a bright green power symbol. It is a fire-starter, and you wouldn't want to make it glow red. First in the scene, online and live, playing around with an arcade and a marketplace, steady with a community. Already there, established, tried and tested. Finally observe the PS3. Here's the big black glossy powerhouse. The wallet killer of a console. The one that most love to love and the one some lurve to hate. Curved, sleek, and sexy, this diva will start slow on launch with only 400,000 units. But with high demand, killer hype, and more things inside it than a barbecue grill on family day, people expect this to play catch up and give competitors a run for their money come next year. Ewww... those three paragraphs made me feel like a writer for adult magazines, only I'm describing hardware instead of playmates. Anyway, if you guys want to continue your console-voyeurism, enjoy these pics we found floating in the net. |
