Football Mogul 2007

Football aficionados can now take it out on the gridiron like Al Pacino did in "Any Given Sunday". It's not going to be all beef and brawn out there. A major part of any sport is strategy and planning. Enlight Interactive is going to have you playing the coach in their statistical-simulation sports game Football Mogul 2007. Reacting as a football player is one thing, but how confident are you at setting up plays and reading the statistics of other teams?

The game boasts customization of your offense and defense routines and full control of calling your plays. There's going to be thousands of combinations to choose from, and with the addition of year-by-year updated stats and rosters, you'd start to realize that you'd need to wear your thinking cap instead of that sports helmet.

The game comes out this month for retail at US$ 19.99, but maybe you're not too keen on your "Al Pacino" skills just yet. If so, the demo is now available and you can simply download the 17MB file below.

Football Mogul 2007

The 2006 NFL season is winding down and that means football fans will soon find themselves in the middle of a long off-season. This means they have to turn all their attention to non-football activities. We're sure the hardcore football fans will just spend more hours playing sports videogames. Game developer Enlighten Interactive knows this full well; that's why they'll soon launch the next installment in the Mogul series.

With Football Mogul 2007, players will have the chance to pick characters based on updated in-depth statistics, and build what amounts to a football dynasty. They can formulate offensive and defensive plays, based on the strength of the team and individual players. Mot only that, but they can even get to relive real football drama as events unfold on and off the field - trade negotiations, draft picks, finances, etc.

In Football Mogul 2007, you are a president, general manager, and head coach rolled into one. Just remember to keep your blood pressure in check! The game is now available for US$ 19.99.

SpaceStationSim

PC game developer and publisher Enlight has just announced that Vision Videogames' SpaceStationSim has shipped to stores across the US of A. Apart from having a title that looks like it was typed on a keyboard with a broken spacebar, SpaceStationSim also has the distinction of being the first game ever developed in collaboration with NASA.

SpaceStationSim gives players the unique opportunity to build and operate their own version of the International Space Station. Players assume the role of Chief Administrator of NASA and manage astronaut crewmembers as they live, work, and play aboard their uniquely created ISS, guiding the astronauts through rigorous missions and numerous challenges such as fires and equipment malfunctions.

Players will get dozens of different modules to use in the construction of their very own version of the ISS. Players will also get to create their own astronauts using hundreds of available variables. Even politics makes an appearance in this game. As Chief Administrator, players will have to manage local and international political relationships in order to ensure that the ISS doesn't run into any problems. This title is definitely one for those who are into interesting and non-violent strategic simulations.

"SpaceStationSim provides everyone with the opportunity to become part of the space station program by allowing players to create their own unique ideas and innovations for space exploration," said Paul Lombardi, chief executive officer of Enlight Interactive. "Adults and kids alike will be able to bring the adventure of space home this holiday season."

TrackMania

TrackMania United
, the fourth installment for the Track Mania franchise, will be fusing elements from its three predecessors to give you an all new dimension to racing, its creation, and sharing. This dimension, they say, is its Existential dimension. Whoa. That's deep. For a racing game, yeah, that sure sticks out like a sore thumb.

But barring that philosophical jargon, what you can expect from this game (and we'll make sure it's in layman's terms) are the new functionalities, like the management of solo scores, the potential of combining different environments in one game, and highly technological graphics that will suit whatever kind of computer you may have.

And we've got a whole lot more of screenshots, so make sure to check out the full article. Also you can download the trailer right here.

x3

So much has transformed for Enlight's X series for the PC, and gamers are still readily accepting more updates to the series. Those who've spent their hours indulging themselves on X3: Reunion have another reason to celebrate with Enlight's newest announcement. In a press release, the company revealed that X3: Reunion 2.0, sequel to this year's X3: Reunion, is now ready to hit the stores on November. Retailing for US$ 19.99, the game will no longer be in the five bulky CDs as you know it, but in DVD format.

What can we expect from X3: Reunion 2.0? As far as features are concerned, the changes are massive. There will no longer be Starforce copy protection. Exotic space ships, revised battle tactics, and exciting missions for all difficulty levels are now included. There's also the remarkable addition of the M6 class battleship once owned by the Pontifex Maximus Paranidia himself, a mammoth that can host two M5 ships.

The Bala Gi EXPANSION is a campaign to unlock a unique new spacecraft and get hold of the biggest construction set in the X universe so far - the headquarters station. The Bala Gi Research Inc. have developed a new M3+ class of ships; during the game you can distribute the blueprints for this new masterpiece in ship construction to the various shipyards.

And if you loved the graphics before, saying it would be more stunning now seems to be an understatement, as the X3 engine has been revamped to transform the universe aesthetically.

In the game, Khaak has managed to bring the Argon fleet to the brink of collapse, but a new enemy is out to make a name in the X-universe. "What links a mysterious ship with the power to disappear, the ruthless Yaki pirates, and a machine left by an ancient species?" We can't wait to put our hands on this gigantic title.
