Fusion PSP Portal v1.0 BETA - 80 flash games, 20 applications, and others - Image 1Fusion PSP Portal v1.0 BETA - 80 flash games, 20 applications, and others - Image 2

Homebrew developer Edward Johnson is probably more known around the PlayStation Portable community as a portal developer especially with Digiplay. This time, Johnson teamed up with friend Tom Terry and released yet another portal known as Fusion PSP Portal v1.0 BETA.

If this is the first time you've heard about portals, take note that these are PSP-dedicated websites that allow users to access different kinds of content like games and applications. Speaking of which, here are some of the content that will be made available to you through this portal:
  • Just Over 80 Flash Games
  • Over 20 applications
  • High Quality Graphics
  • Easy Navigation
  • Update Features
In case some of you are wondering why there are only a few games and applications included in Fusion PSP Portal v1.0 BETA, the developers noted that more games eat up more memories. They added that they wanted to create a portal that will fit in all memory cards.

To know more about this portal, be sure to browse through the Readme.txt file included in the download package or refer to the forum link below to discuss it with other users.

PSP - Image 1

Edward Johnson, creator of the Digiplay Games Portal for the Playstation Portable, has just sent us an email about an article from the official PSP magazine from UK - PSP: The Official Guidebook by Future Publishing, we'd reckon, though we could be mistaken. The said article has a very interesting passage about the PSP Slim, speculating (and possibly hinting) at something big that would hit the homebrew scene, and soon.

The article's passage according to Johnson reads as follows:

Sony is obviously tight-lipped when it comes to security, and even tighter-lipped when it comes to security measures. Given its aggressive track record and serious work to combat hackers and pirates, it seems likely the PSP Slim and Lite will have something big up it's sleeve. And given the hackers track record, it won't be long before we find out what.

If Sony does indeed have something big in store for PSP security measures, what would this mean for the homebrew scene? We'll find out soon enough when it's released this September. The PSP Slim arrives in Europe early next month and Japan will have theirs on September 20. Watch out for updates.

Digiplay - Image 1Edward Johnson just informed us through email of an update to his Digiplay games portal for the PlayStation Portable. For those who haven't heard of portals, think of them as PSP-specific websites designed to allow PSP users to access certain types of content.

In this case, the main draw of Digiplay is the absurd number of games you can try out with it. Here's the lowdown on what Digiplay v4.03 B Edition can do for you:
  • 85 Flash games
  • 15 Applications
  • 4 Flash Videos
  • 5 Extras
  • Digiplay Update Checker
We suggest that you check the readme for information on installing this version of Digiplay, as well as additional information on using the application. In any case, try it out and see if it catches your fancy.
