Just hours ago, Steve Harris Tweeted, and now I'm all excited. The founder of Electronic Gaming Monthly has already spoken of his mag's return to the scene, and thanks to his latest Twitter update, we now know that plans are in motion to bring the great gaming mag back by December 1st. |

It's a sad day in gaming to see EGM go. The mag has officially ceased publication as of this month. EGM, which was one of the longest-running video game mags around, will release its "final" issue online. Go to the full article to see the issue's awesome cover, which will sadly never be printed. |

It's official. Ziff Davis has sold 1UP to UGO Entertainment and has
closed EGM. This was confirmed by no less than an official press
release from both camps earlier today. The axe has fallen, and it's fallen hard. GameVideos.com and others take the hit as well. Full details right after the jump. |

Hideo Kojima recently visited the offices of Call of Duty studio, Infinity Ward. This caused a bit of ruckus in the rumor mill, with people taking this as a sign that Kojima's next game really is a first-person shooter. Robert Bowling from Infinity Ward, however, has something to say about that. Details after the link. |

EGM recently published news that Epic Games is already busy in development for the third iteration of the popular Gears of War franchise. Completely quelling that bit of pronouncement is Mark Rein, calling it "total nonsense". |
