Nintendo - Image 1Nintendo has circulated a press release chronicling the latest news in its ongoing battle against piracy. According to the press release, the Hong Kong High Court ordered the raid of facilities owned by Supreme Factory Limited earlier this month at Nintendo's request.

The raid turned up more than 10,000 game copying devices and mod chips used to play pirated Nintendo software. The seized copying devices were used mostly for pirating Nintendo DS games. The mod chips were mostly for use in Nintendo's Wii home video game console.

Documents found at the raid site connected Supreme Factory Limited to French company Divineo SARL. Divineo SARL and its principal, Max Louarn, have also been named in the legal action initiated by Nintendo.

PS3 HD Extender - Image 1A couple of days ago, we featured a video demonstrating Team Xecuter's PS3 Hard Drive Xtender (HDXT). This console accessory allows PlayStation 3 owners to buff up their PS3's internal SATA space with external (and hopefully beefier) hard drive, bet it an IDE or SATA kit.

Now, in case the readers were wondering just how far along the team is on their project, a quick trip to Divineo indicates some good news - the PS3 (HDXT) is now on sale for a sum of US$ 24.95 per unit. In addition to this news, the team has also released a separate Sata to IDE converter, although we're not sure how much this will cost.

We thank Bigbob6383 for the tip!

Cyclowiz chip - Image 1Modchips and console security updates, like the international arms race, is one that never ends. And for a short while, it seemed that chip developers faced another Nintendo hurdle by way of the infamous GC2-D2B model Wii. As we said, "For a short while." Divineo is now accepting pre-orders for a D2B-capable TeamCyclops' modchip for Wii">CycloWiz chip for a price of US$ 39.99, although we'll have to see if this really is the case.

And in other news, we bring an update on the Wiikey mod chip. The dev team has pushed its the release date to between February 16 and 20, and is now capable of running on D2B Wii units. As for the updated specs:
  • Direct boot of Wii backups (like originals)
  • Direct boot of GC backups (like originals)
  • Direct boot of homebrew in GC mode
  • Supports all currently available console and drive versions (including the D2B chipset)
  • True sophisticated upgradability via DVD/disc (future proof, expect cool features to come)
  • Direct boot of different NTSC region Wii games on USA and JAP consoles
  • Partial support for different region NTSC games on PAL consoles
  • Supports different region GC games (partially without swapping)
  • Supports multi-disc games for BOTH Wii and Gamecube
  • Supports DVD-R / TRUE DVD+R and +RW support (no bitsetting required)
  • Improved read settings for recordable media
  • Built-in audio fix (for games using streaming, no patch required)
  • Supports full-size 4GB DVD for Gamecube homebrew
  • Stealth mode
  • 512 byte EEPROM to store configuration
  • 4 wires & quick solder interface
  • Unique disc backup application via SD-card
  • Compact design, best quality components, rock solid high speed controller
  • Professional ESD packing
Keep checking back for updates (on price tag perhaps?) on this potential hot-sell, along with any word on the other two chips expected to break the D2B barrier soon, The Wiinja and the Wiip.

Kotaku's Brian Ashcraft noted last year that the problem with big, glossy-black electronic devices is that it has a tendency to gather this odd mold-dust hybrid on its surface. Quick thinking commenters were able to point out several do-able solutions to the problem, like waxing the PS3, investing in custom skins, or even (gasp) cleaning it from time to time.

Given that some folks will obviously be a bit too lazy to dust their beloved black console, the enterprising people from Dragon Electronics thought up a solution for folks who are worried that the dust might ruin their console. Of course, the Dragonplus PS3 Dust Prevent Silicon Cover Bundle Pack doesn't actually prevent mold from growing on the PS3's glossy surface, but it does prevent dust from ruining the console's insides.

Above is a product sheet. Alongside it is a diagram for Dragon Electronics' other product - a replacement battery pack for the SIXAXIS controller. Since the battery pack requires opening the controller up, we suggest you double check Sony's Warranty policies.

Divineo lists the battery pack at around US$ 7.95 and the Cover at around US$ 6.45. The dust cover is only worth it if you are that lazy to clean. The battery is sort of reasonable if you somehow ended up busting (how do you do that?) your SIXAXIS' battery.

This isn't as cool or as handy as a Ben Heck mod, but it is guaranteed to make any Xbox 360 owner who does get this mod feel like they've just sent their console over to those "Pimp My Ride" folks.

The guys over at Divineo have managed to create a customized Xbox 360 case that has a 5"x8" LCD/TFT monitor built into its side. Check it out:

You have to admit: it gets very useful if your TV gets busted. Even more useful if you're one of those folks who uses a projector as their primary display.

M3 DS SimplyJust yesterday we laid eyes upon the first images and information on the M3 DS Simply, and now, only a day later, pre-orders are being accepted by Divineo (China). Even if you are not a resident of China, you are able to purchase this product from Divineo.cn and will get the same great price that the M3 team has placed for this new product. The most shocking bit of news that comes with this is the pre-order price! At under 50$, you will be able to purchase this great cart.

Previous cartridges (slot-2) from the M3 and G6 team have been priced in the range of 80$, but with this new device it seems that you will only have to pay about half of that for the same great service. You may ask yourself, why is this so low compared to their previous cartridges? Simple, the M3 DS Simply does not support GBA files like some of their expensive slot-2 devices. No slot-1 device at this point in time supports GBA mode. The M3 DS Simply will hopefully turn out to be another great product from the M3 team, possibly beating off the #1 competitor in the scene, the DS-Xtreme.

M3 Adapter

We just got info from Divineo that M3 Adapter has just released an English "budget"  version of their acclaimed M3 Perfect Adapter for Nintendo DS/DS Lite. Now we took a quick look at M3 Adapter's official site and it didn't tell us much, maybe it's because the site probably is in need of an update, but we doubt that.

Anyway we might just have missed it, or failed to find it on their official site, but here's what Divineo says about it: "The M3 Pro takes all the features from the M3 Perfect beside the fact that it is not compatible with GBA (over 32M), with a lower price!"

We'll update this post and you guys when we get more information like pricing and availability (and when we finally find the product on the official M3 site).
