Screenshots of Korea: Superstar and Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom for the Xbox 360 - Image 1

With the ever growing number of Korean game developer studios coming up with new console games, the recent X07 conference in South Korea showcased a host of upcoming games exclusive to the Xbox 360. One of these games is the music rhythm sim from Studio Nine.

Titled Korea: Superstar, this game joins the few and far between rhythm sims such as the Guitar Hero series and the upcoming Xbox 360 version of Rock Band. Studio Nine was also the developer for the DDR-like rhythm sim Pump It Up for the PlayStation Portable.

This new game injects some life to a very few selection of games on the genre for Microsoft's next-gen console. Along with Korea: Superstar was the debut of Blueside's Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom, an RPG set in the Kingdom Under Fire series which is set for a January release in the States.

All in all, these are both titles to look out for when they hit the Xbox 360 console format in the near future. Hopefully, we'll also be seeing an English translated version of Korea: Superstar.

Entice your eyeballs with wonderful-flavored eye candy in this video update of Square Enix's It's a Wonderful World for the Nintendo DS. Featuring a unique art style and direction that's delightfully Tetsuya Nomura's, Square Enix may just have a new epic game franchise on their hands.

The first video shows the game's ingenious use of both screens, with your two characters duking it out with the monsters via the D-pad and the touchscreen. The upper screen seems to be for physical attacks, with a DDR-esque control mechanic that has you pressing directions to execute a damaging combo string. The touchscreen is where you dole out the magic attacks, with Neck disposing of the Noise with a neat-looking fire spell.

The second video shows off the game's manga-esque intro, and it's where we see Neck being given his 7-day time limit. Rather scary stuff, that - seeing that you have only one week left to live.

Fast and furious action, stylized visuals, a great soundtrack - definitely a classic for the DS. Enjoy the videos!

Konami's DDR Universe - Image 1

Konami has just announced that it's currently working on Dance Dance Revolution Universe 2 for the Microsoft Xbox 360 game console and it's set to pack in some new features that the entire family can enjoy.

As expected, the familiar pad-driven scheme is back and beats from the 70's to the present are poised to set the dance floor ablaze. What's even more exciting is that a Quest mode has been revitalized and the Freestyle mode will have you flaunting a style all your own without the constraints of fixed steps.

Whether you're in a party or with the family in the living room, you'll find infectious rhythms paired with cool visuals. Konami, however, anticipated that you might want to try and square off with other dancers online, so a mode featuring the powers of the Xbox Live Network is slated to get you busting moves with the nest of them.

"The next generation graphics make this the best-looking DDR game to date while the new features and online capabilities offer gamers a wider array of options than ever before," says Konami Product Manager Jason Enos as he explains why the title is an Xbox 360 must-have.

So, who says the Xbox 360 is only for hardcore gamers who want to bust up aliens with big guns? DDR Universe 2 proves that the platform can also host light fun, so wear those dancing shoes and get ready to shake it.

Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party - Image 1

During Konami's turn at the ongoing E3 event, the spotlight shone on yet another rhythm-based video game title named Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party. We've been talking about the game for some time now and we've already discussed before that the Wii's Wiimote and Nunchuk will be put to good use in this game.

Game details are still quite a few as of now but there was one confirmation that should make any Dance Dance fanatic, well, dance with joy. Among the many assets revealed is a high quality image of a Dance mat, finally putting an end to the question whether the title would require some footwork from gamers or not.

Now we know that for players to score high in this game, players will be needing to step into the mat in accordance to the tune and on-screen cues, all the while making the right combos on their hands. There will also be a four player co-op and versus mode. Konami mentioned that the playlist for DDR: Hottest Party will include songs from the 80s as well as the 90s.

Health buffs, listen up! While the Wiimote is already advancing diet regiments far and wide, you still can't count out how the Dance Pad for DDR titles brought exercise routines for the console gamers. As of now, it's still being talked about whether or not DDR Hottest Party on the Wii would have a Dance Pad peripheral for its own.

But what's this? Is this confirmation or just a prototype of a possible Dance Pad?

DDR Hottest Pary scan from Famitsu - Image 1

From Japanese magazine Famitsu, a new scan has waltzed into the dancefloor: a two-page spread showing not just screens, but also a pic of the Dance Pad. Now if you can read hiragana - yes, kkid (Unregistered) and nohbody (Unregistered), as well as katakana or kanji - maybe you can answer our previous question: is this the real thing or just a prototype? But despite this, you'll still be able to play the game by using the Wiimote alone, as French site source Nintendo Master states.

Regardless, other tidbits included in the scan are the multiplayer features (no, not online multiplayer, sorry). The game will allow four players to step up on the Wii stage at the same time, and have both versus and co-op modes available.
