Develop Online recently managed to get a little chit-chat out of Carl Jones, Crytek's director of global business development, and talked about where the future lies for the guys who brought us the visually stunning Crysis. The answer lies with online gaming and the home consoles, and that's exactly where the powerhouse CryENGINE 3 will be putting on a show. More after the jump.

The iPhone DevTeam does it again, releasing the jailbreak for OS 3.1 barely a week after it was released. Those who've been waiting for this one can now breathe easy and rejoice - the latest OS update from Apple isn't gonna keep you from taking full advantage of your iPhone. That's right folks! A demo of Crysis running on the iPhone has been achieved. AMD recently held a press event showcasing their latest next-gen GPU architecture. The company together with software partners held an on-hand demonstration of their own application using AMD's technology. One of those partner is OTOY, an upcoming network gaming company demoed Crysis running on the iPhone by rendering the game on a remote server, compresing the frames and then sending it back to the client in a versy small chunk.

It doesn't seem to be like a very upbeat week for software as waves upon waves of delays crashed against our Xbox 360 doorstep. Not to worry though, these delays do not mean there's nothing to keep Microsoft's unit afloat. Find out what they are after the jump.

2010 seems to be a new slate for most video game companies, as upcoming blockbuster games such as Bioshock 2, Heavy Rain and Bayonetta won't make it out this year as planned. Now you can add one more title to the list, the heavily anticipated Crysis 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC).

Electronic Arts and Crytek are partnering up to bring the next Crysis game to home consoles so you don't have to sell your kidney to get a powerful enough PC to play it.

So you thought that Earth No More was no more? Of course not. Finally revealing the first two in-game screenshots for their PS3, Xbox 360, and PC game, it looks like they're looking to match up against some Crysis graphics. Considering Earth No More uses the Unreal Engine 3, that just might be possible. Proof is in the screenshots, they say - and from the two that were just revealed, it's showing quite a lot of potential already!

While this week's crop of new games doesn't really scream "Triple-A", it is noteworthy for having Patapon 2, the vanguard/forward scout for Sony's foray into digital distribution for the PlayStation Portable. Other picks this week include the release of the Wii version of Namco's PlayStation original, Klonoa. The system requirements for the PC version of Batman: Arkham Asylum (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) just came in, so if you're looking to play this one on your beloved PC, be sure to check the list out. It's nowhere near as demanding as say, Crysis, but if your PC has weathered the years, then maybe it's time for a little upgrade. Do you have what it takes? Literally.

Linux may be taboo for a lot of us, but you'd better be prepared to give it a shot to try out this impressive trick. Using Yellow Dog Linux on the PlayStation 3, efaustus9 used Qemu to emulate Windows 95 on the platform, allowing him to run StarCraft.
