Now while there are no shortage of Medics in the on-going closed Beta phase of NCSoft's Tabula Rasa, any player going to jump into a seemingly endless war waged against the Bane would think once about taking the more offensive classes and take second opinions when choosing stealth or support classes, such as the Medic - or the Tier 4 Medic class in this case.
In order to diffuse confusion with support classes' offensive capabilities, Community Manager April "CuppaJo" Burba demonstrated the Medic class at the recently concluded ComicCon 2007 at San Diego, emphasizing how useful a support class can be in the United Free Sentients' struggles against the Bane. Those who haven't been lucky to participate in the Beta phase but are heavily interested in the upcoming sci-fi MMORPG can check the video embedded below for some gameplay features discussed in earlier articles, including ceaseless conflict even while offline and capturing outposts. |

The game Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is looking to be an MMORPG of epic proportions. How can it not be when it's based on the rich lore of the largest tabletop gaming franchise in the world? The developer, EA Mythic, has really been doing extensive research and has come up with a lot of stuff that would make fans of the game drool. The premise of the MMORPG has been simplified a bit. Some have noted that the game is set in a pseudo-Renaissance Germany with Tolkien influences. There are six dominant factions which have been divided into two fragile alliances: Order and Chaos. The Empire, the Dwarves, and the Elves compose the side of Order. They are being opposed by Chaos, which counts the Green Skins (Orks), the Dark Elves (corrupted Elves) and the Chaos (worshipers of the gods of Chaos) as its members. Those who want to participate in the Beta test of the game will have to be very lucky since they can only get on board by signing up for EA Mythic's annual newsletter and winning one of the 5 slots in the random monthly draw. They also have events in other venues where you can win an invite - an example would be the 2007 New York Comic Con. For those in Asia, you're out of luck since it's only open for North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. For the rest who would want to see what the game is about, we have a nice collection of concept art work, a podcast, and even a short video of the login screen and an Ork. It's pretty much the closest one can get to the game without being invited into the beta testing, so take a few minutes to view the pictures and download the podcast and videos. If you'd like more, you can check out our previous coverage with more concept art and videos. Atari has revealed the three games it will be showcasing in the NY Second Annual Comic Con 2007 that will be held on February 23 to 25 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. The three games are Godzilla: Unleashed for the Wii, Bullet Witch for the Xbox 360, and Dragonball Z Shin Budokai : Another Road for the PSP, which will all be available for purchase at kiosks throughout the convention.Godzilla: Unleashed, set to be released Q3 2007, is one of the most anticipated games for Wii. We're still waiting to see though how the control system for the Wii will affect the gameplay. The storyline in itself is pretty vanilla "Destroy other monsters and save the world". Despite this, Atari has promised the story will be non-linear. Destructible cityscapes and large buildings will be in abundance, so we wait with baited breath for it's release. Bullet Witch for the 360 is an adventure game which will be released in North America on February 27 for US $ 49.99. It is set in a neo-apocalyptic world where magic and guns go hand-in-hand. An advanced physics engine will be there to handle the game's monsters and destroyable environments. This is definitely a game to look out for. DBZ Budokai: Another Road for the PSP (to be released March 2007) is an intense action game which promises to deliver more exciting matches than it's previous iteration. The fighting system has been improved and a whopping 50 new moves and super moves have been added to the mix. A brand new story line which follows the exploits of Trunks and his rival Majin Boo is included as well. If you happen to be in the Comic Con and wish to find the booths, you can find Dragon Ball Z Shin Budokai: Another Road at Room 1E03, Bullet Witch at the Lobby Booth, and Godzilla: Unleashed will be shown at Classic Media Booth, #765. More news to come as it's released. |

When it comes to the just announced Marvel Universe Online, just two important details are known: first, Cryptic Studios was chosen to develop the said Microsoft MMO; then the game will feature seamless play between the PC and the X360. But the recent chit-chat with the three involved companies (Microsoft, Cryptic, Marvel) aims to shed light a bit further and hopes to keep anticipations running.Microsoft Game Studios Frank Pape admits the tremendous success of WoW is their main motivation for getting into the massively multiplayer online market. He laments however that "World of Warcraft is a great game but it has been a black hole. It has subsumed a large part of the audience." Microsoft believes that Marvel can change all that by breathing fresh air into the space. Also, they want to make sure that despite of the fact that PC and X360 gamers are able to play on one server, the two versions of the game are still distinct from one another. "[Cryptic Studios] is working very diligently to make sure the PC game does not feel like a port of the console or the console is a port of the PC game," shares Vice President of Marvel Interactive Ames Kirshen. Furthermore, Cryptic Studios is still in awe regarding the breadth and depth of the Marvel Universe. Apparently, the comic publisher gave their all it at the studio's disposal. When asked as to where battles will take place, Cryptic Studios' Jack Emmert gave a very promising answer: "The Marvel Universe isn't just super heroes running around in big
cities," he said. "We have Thor and Asgard, we have Atlantis and we
have the Midnight Suns and the other dark slices of Marvel."Marvel Universe Online was first mentioned during this year's ComicCon. Other details including gameplay, characters availability and release date are still not available as of this writing. |

The ComicCon gave Activision the opportunity for another showing of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, due for PS3 and Xbox 360, and aside from the trailer yesterday, 10 screenshots emerged, 5 for each console. If everything goes according to Activision's plans, the game will be released in Fall.
In Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, players can create a dream-team party of their favourite Marvel heroes and embark on an epic quest to oppose Dr. Doom and his army of villains. On their journey, they'll come across many famous comic-book locations such as Atlantis, the Shield-Heli carrier, and the Skrull home world. Characters are highly customizable, making for a diverse and dynamic combat experience that includes interaction with the environment and tons of special moves. Xbox 360 screens:
