PS3 Weekend Warrior - Image 1Have you heard? The PS3's manufacturing costs are now down by around 70%. Will Sony be able to parlay it into a price cut? Nobody knows except for the company's bigwigs, and they aren't telling us anything. Not yet anyway. Hey, at least we know that there'll be new controller colors come October. Dead Space - Image 1 "EA launched the game in 2008 and is working on the second and third installments." This is the line from Variety's piece on the Dead Space film that got tongues wagging as to whether or not Electronic Arts is indeed concurrently developing parts 2 and 3. Master Chief - Image 1Is the ambitious episodic series project of Microsoft, in partnership with Peter Jackson, canceled? The director characterized the endeavor at the Comic-Con event as "no longer happening" while Microsoft refuses to call it quits, saying instead that it is "on hold."

The Darkness - Image 1At the New York Comic-Con last year, Top Cow Productions teased gamers with the possibility that the follow-up to their shooter, The Darkness (PS3 and Xbox 360), is in the works. But we didn't hear anything from them regarding this for a while (15 long months to be exact), until this year's Comic-Con, that is.

uncharted 2 - Image 1A report circulated earlier on the web about a possible mandatory installation required to play the upcoming  PS3 exclusive Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, but thanks to Twitter, Naughty Dog quickly put an end to the speculation and officially stated that there will be no mandatory installation for the game.

Dante's Inferno, Sin to Win - Image 1If you're working on a game that highlights the nine circles of hell, you may very well expect debauchery to ensue, at least as far as the storyline or gameplay will go. But having said that, it does not necessarily follow that you'll have a free pass here on Earth when marketing such said game. Electronic Arts should have probably known that from the onset, but I guess they were busy getting all excited about sinning to win. Their newest marketing ploy for Dante's Inferno (PS3, PSP, Xbox 360) launched at the Comic-Con was quite a controversial one, requiring them to make an apology to the offended public.
