Earlier this month, Codemasters released the first DLC pack for Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. Those who can't get enough of the game can rest assured. The second DLC pack for PS3 and Xbox 360 is already in development.

Codemasters has some goodies for all of you Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising (PlayStation 3, Xboc 360, and PC) players as the first person tactical shooter's first DLC rolls out for its PC and Xbox 360 versions. It's not uncommon for multiplatform games to have platform-specific features. The Wii version of Codemasters' DiRT 2 is one such example, more so since the first title in the franchise did not make it to as many platforms as this one - Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, DS and PSP. Codemasters has confirmed that Colin McRae: DiRT 2 will feature eight-player online races. The number's a step down from their last racing game, but according to game design manager Ralph Fulton, it's not because of some technical limitation. Eight's just the right number. There's also a special Colin McRae memorial event that will be unlocked at the end of the game. Details after the jump.

The latest downloadable content for Overlord II ( PC, PS3, and Xbox 360) called the Battle Rock Nemesis lands today for the PSN and XBLA, this according to a press release sent out by Codemasters. Details and price points follow after the jump.

When you're racing at top speed with dirt kicking up all over, chances are, you'll ram or get rammed by someone straight out of the course. If you're lucky, you're just gonna get so much dirt up your windshield that you won't see where you're going, then subsequently wind up outside the course anyway. DiRT 2 let's you see better into that scenario, although in this case, it's gonna be more likely that you'll be the one feeding the others with dust than you eating it.

Could the wait be almost over for Codemasters and NetDevil's much-awaited new space combat MMO, Jumpgate Evolution? Almost, but not quite, probably, but the two companies have released a press wire announcing astounding news. The Beta sign-ups for the game in North America and Europe has hit a landmark score of 250,000, making it Codemasters Online's biggest Beta Campaign. Ever.

September is the month to watch if you're a fan of high-octane racing. Codemasters has sent out word announcing the official release dates for the console and handheld versions of Colin McRae: DiRT 2.

With the arrival of DirectX 11 expected to happen this second half of 2009, Codemasters is jumping on this opportunity to make the most out of this new technology and its performance enhancing features for the PC version of its racing title, DiRT 2. In other words, the game will be delayed.

A slip up at the Codemasters community forums led to the "unveiling" of the new Logitech G27. The Community Manager mistakenly listed in the G27 as part of the controllers and wheels list that  DiRT 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, DS and PSP) supposedly supports. Predictably so, the post was immediately edited, but not before one determined reader, Homerfreak, took a screencap of it for proof.
