What's your costume going to be like this year? It's finally that time of year when CosPlay fanatics can run wild in the streets without fear of getting hounded by the cops. Do we have some people coming in as Kratos this year? Maybe wanna dress up as a character from a new IP, like say, Altair from Assassin's Creed - he seems to be pretty popular among the ladies. Be that as it may, it's time to don the QuickJump QuickPeek suit - hold the eye of newt, please! The 18th edition rolls out today!) Clear the decks for this one, folks! Following last week's #17, QuickJump QuickPeek 18 has parked its merry bottom on the QJ blogs! Halloween is just around the corner and this edition of our weekly recap has nothing less than the most wicked news and updates. Of course, "wicked" here may connote either of two things: 1) wicked in the sense of being vilely putrid in nature, or 2) wicked in the sense of being made out of pure win, awesome, or [insert your own expletive of jubilation]. This week, we've got a heavy dosage of updates that'll make pumpkin heads roll. For one, Clive Barker's Jericho is already on shelves this week for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 - that right there is probably enough to give you some goosebumps for the next couple of weeks. Rawr. Now just to give you a slight swig from the QuickPeek cauldron, it's a potion of sorts with various PSP batteries colliding, highly-anticipated games finally getting the gold status, and some little after taste of bold remarks from iconic analysts, CEOs, and attorneys. With Clive Barker's Jericho's release date now upon us, we get intimate with the Jericho team one last time - and this one's about the main protagonist of Codemasters' supernatural horror FPS, Captain Devin Ross. Probably the only ordinary-looking guy on the team (except for his ridiculously awesome arm tattoos), he's the guy you'll be playing as through the entire game for the PC, Microsoft Xbox 360, and Sony PlayStation 3.
But wait a second. If he's the one we're going to be controlling, then why do the previous videos clearly show the player controlling the other members of the Jericho Squad? That's because of Devin's unique ability to possess humans - humans being his own teammates. Near the beginning of Clive Barker's Jericho, the operation goes awry with the good captain's untimely death at the hands of a particularly ugly-looking monster. But with his power to possess the other members of the Jericho squad, Devin's spirit lives on in the hearts of his buddies. Or something. Which is entirely too bad, as his Patrioteer gun looks like it packs a massive punch, and his Psychic Healing ability looks super-handy. In any case, check out Capt. Devin Ross in action in the video of Clive Barker's Jericho below. Enjoy! Buy: [ Clive Barker's Jericho (PC) ] Buy: [ Clive Barker's Jericho (PS3) ] Buy: [ Clive Barker's Jericho (Xbox 360) ] |

Clive Barker's Jericho from Codemasters and Mercury Steam (PC, Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360) just right around the corner, fans and FPS fanatics are certainly getting ready for some fine blast 'em up action involving lots of guns, and lots of undead baddies. And to get us all hyped is this introductory video of the last member of the Jericho Squad, Captain Xavier Jones.
He may be the last team member to get his introduction video, but he's definitely not the least - as he sports the ability to not only see potential threats from a distance via Seer magic, but also possess enemies for a brief period of time. This lets him control the ghoulies and send them into their own self-destruction. A flaming, explosion-flavored sort of self-destruction. Oh, and he's got this shotgun/submachine hybrid dealie of a weapon. That's cool too. Enjoy the video. Buy: [Clive Barker's Jericho (PS3)] Buy: [Clive Barker's Jericho (Xbox 360)] |
